I still think it's crazy John Schneider was only 40 in the first season I always thought he was much older. Tom welling is in his 40s now and could still pass for his son if you place him side by side John's old photos from early 00s. He definitely looked 55+

Schneider has said his own children were teenagers when he played Johnathan Kent, so he was/is old enough for real. My Nephew is only 43 and his son is 19.

If you do more of these father-son moments, make sure to include the ones from Witness & Legacy. And if you do some where they fight, the fight from Exile & Phoenix should be included as well since Jonathan is fighting him because he loves his son & wants to bring him back home.

One thing for sure, Around Season 6, Clark was definitely not the same person he was in S1-3. John Schiender was an amazing Jonathan Kent. I loved the chemistry between Tom and John. It’s like they were really father and son.
