Our next trapline took us from the heat of central North Queensland to the green pastures of Northern New South Wales. Slightly different country, slightly different techniques but very similar dogs.

The pup is a handsome one. And alert too. Next gen alpha. More impressive is the way you read that ground, and even remember where you set them. Like your work.

This trapping clip reminds me of my grandfather Austin teaching us about animal tracks and signs of wildlife behaviour. Moles were popular for their soft skin and gorgeous black fur.

Howdy Clark🤠 What gorgeous country!!! So very lush!! Is the area always like that? I do wish that you weren't so far away from Central Oregon!! One of Brandon's pups would be a MUST for me!!! Whether Brandon likes them or not, they're beautys!!! My niece has been accepted to study in New Zealand in the fall...a 12 week program, of which 6 weeks are backpacking while surveying and studying the plants.... (Auntie is very jealous!!) Safe travels, friend ❤❤ Stay FROSTY... Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel... 🇺🇸🇦🇺WWG1WGA🇺🇸🇦🇺NCSWIC🇺🇸🇦🇺

Minnesota Rancher. When you were describing the soil from beneath the dead cow, the word 'aromatic' came to mind. ( Not romantic). Good looking pups. And that young feller looks like a natural outdoorsman. Hope to see a lot more of him!

Dogs are smart, do you think it possible they could remember your scents (you, dogs, vehicle etc) and associate it with danger?

Clark, may I ask a question, What is a typical dog a day trapping ratio? I understand that everything is variable. You are clearly fully employed and therefore valued by land owners. I'm just trying to understand the impact of each dog on the land for a farmer?

Hey mate. Just a question. There’s probably an obvious reason why not but have you ever considered putting a tracker on one of the trapped dogs and letting it go back to the pack so you can track and learn their movements? I know it would be a bastard getting a tracking collar on but maybe with two blokes? Just curious. Thanks mate, keep up the good work.
@robertbrown36768 күн бұрын
Hey Clark I got something to ask when you're out trapping do you stay out in that area where you are trapping or do you go home just a question because when I used the trap I always stayed in the area because it was too far for me to drive back home?

Have you ever considered a GPS tracker on a captured dog? Understand the release of said dog could be a bad thing but at least you'll know where it is.
