I love the way those dogs mind you . Especially when you tell them hunt him up , they hit the ground running . The area you are working in right now is beautiful . It has to be a great feeling to be able to go out every day with your dogs and help take care of the cattle by controlling the dog population . Love your video's Clark just keep them coming because you do a great job making them

Try changing up your lure scent. Rotten fish, or maybe some chicken livers that have been left to ferment in the sun for a few weeks. It is amazing what happens when you introduce a strange new scent that they're unaccustomed too. Thank you for keeping the world up dated as to the goings on in your world.

When you do that, mostly what you will catch are the goannas. Watch the next series of clips for a classic example of how food based scents can be a nightmare

Thanks Clark for a great video. I used to do a bit of very amateur trapping up the valley when my hips and knees used to work. I see you don't worry too much about human scent around a trap. Is that because the dogs are so used to it. Do you worry about scent on the trap itself? And thank you for showing me the valley. So many good times.

My traps are always boiled and waxed, I handle them with hands rubbed hard with soil, chains and foam pads boiled clean as well. My dogs help confuse my human scent around the traps.

@@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry thanks for the reply. I reckon you should do short videos of the pig hunting. Was unreal seeing the dogs bailing that big boar and having to shoot it with the 22 when the 223 jammed up. Do some shorts videos show the weekend warriors pig hunters how’s its done few border collies and a 22.

Those traps are illegal in my country. The police not only can fine you but sue you for animal cruelty! The animals are only trying to survive.
@ScottH22175
@ScottH22175 7 ай бұрын
Those are leg hold traps. They don't damage the leg normally, just grip it. You usually can release non-target animals with no damage. The problem with the feral cats, dogs and pigs is that they are "surviving" on the backs of animal species that are actually supposed to be there...
