Feral cats were a serious problem here years ago, but when the coyotes immigrated here in the `80s, that changed tremendously. I have not seen a feral cat out in the woods in a few decades. We just don't have them in any serious numbers anymore. Armadillos moved in here in the very early `60s and became as common as grey squirrels but they too are far less common today, all thanks to the large population of coyotes we have here now.

Could you tie that dead little piglet from the trap up in a tree so it off the ground from other pigs but still spreading a scent? You actually answered question at 13:19.

As you know, Clark most city folk don’t have a clue about our country folk. I think we should create a Land Army, whereby every 18 year old spends a year in country. What a difference that would make. We need to get them off there dumb phones. 👍🙏🇦🇺

I hear ya!! However, for every good young youth, there will now be three bludgers and if the guy in charge, the landholder maybe, kicks their butt or even gives them an earful for being a dickhead, then he/she is up on charges, in the media.... Nah, world is now too soft.

G'day from Arizona. Monsoon season hear. Thunder, lightening and rain last night. Lost electrical power 5, 6, 7 times last night. Walking around the home at 5am this morning resetting all of the clocks. It's currently 29'C with an expected high of 41'C. How is your winter this year ?

Winter back home is terribly dry so we are heading for a shocking fire season ahead. We are away on a very interesting trapline. Stay tuned! One day we hope to get across into the US for another visit, love your country and the real people 👊

The guys that do the best are on the Govt payroll. In the real world, we get paid usually a retainer per day and bonus per dog. Gets you out of bed and working hard.

Clark this property I just started on has a large pack of dogs at one end and another pack about 2 miles away on the same property. Is it possible this is two packs or I’m seeing the same pack.
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry Жыл бұрын
Unless the property is right on the boundary of two strong packs, it is most probable that they are the same dogs. Biggest pack I have seen is 19 but have heard of 26 from a reliable source. Took 32 in a run within a 20k radius

If you had dogs that naturally howled would it bring the dingoes in quicker. Have you ever been able to get a dog to howl on command for you?
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry

Our ol' dingo cross named Ernie was simply the best. He would scream and yowl until he got a reply, entice them in then lie down until Dad dropped hammer. Wish I had filmed him in action more.

.22 rimfire on small game and trapped dogs, .223 if there is any doubt or for untapped dogs, .243 for when I know I could come up against big boars or long shots, .308 or 30/06 for deer and above

Congratulations, Clarke for the bycatch of the real damager in the bush. Reckon that one a day, plus a couple of dogs would make your day. Even a small bounty on cats ought to be introduced, but then the hypocrites would have a field day. Logic: pay to keep calves safe, but bugger the native animals?!

Hey mate . You should be charging at $ 200 dollars a day plus 800 bucks per Dingo . Example dingoes would be eating 20 head a year at least ( calf’s ) = $ 50,000 worth of T Bones in surrounding area .you need a better manger
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry Жыл бұрын
As soon as we are seen as too expensive, the landholders use 1080 poison. Then after awhile, when the number of bait shy dogs gets too high again, we get called back in but this time, we face the hardest dogs you can find.
