Thanks for showing some love for the Desert Boot. Still have my first desert boots from 1990. In sand suede of course. In the last couple years, I've gotten a pair in navy leather, a couple of pairs of Bushacre 3 and a Desert Coal. I'm all about the originals but can't be on my feet for any length of time in the unsupported crepe soles. No problems with the Bushacres and their supported harder rubber soles. But my favorites are the Desert Coal. I wasn't initially sold on their wedge sole and third eyelet, then I wore them. That is a comfortable style Desert boot I can stand in.

@@yartp I own two pairs of desert coals, and you're definitely right about being able to stand in them for longer! Many thanks!

Great review. 😊 Both my kids, 11 and 13, love their Desert Boots. My son owns three pairs now, and rarely wears anything else. They’re very popular here in the UK, for all the reasons you mention. Very casual and easy to slip on and just leave the house without having to think.

@@darrenhall7454 Thank you! I put on my olive green desert boots yesterday and had them on all day long. Classic comfort!

Never tried Clark's, but for a chukka boot I'd recommend the Red Wing Weekender chukka in copper rough and tough leather. Super comfortable and the leather is so nice.

@@crucify40 I asked about those at the Red Wing store and they didn't have any on hand :-(
