But really, why does nobody steals stuff from the back of a pickup over there? In Europe you can't leave your shopping exposed like that at a set of lights or some pedestrian or somebody on a scooter will just take it. Not because they need it, but because they can. America has way more homeless tramps who would love to have some of those delicious weekly Walmart groceries, but they never seem to realise they can just take it from idiots in pickups.

As an American, I can say that this is just common comedy. Our country is riddled with overweight people and it deserves to be joked about. But it should also be taken care of. We have no reason to have 500-pound (about 227 kilos for anyone smart enough to use the metric system) oozing over their mobility scooters while driving through a Wal-mart. Seriously, I've seen people wider than the seats for those stupid little things. Truly embarrassing. We honestly deserve to get made fun of for it and I'm glad not to be overweight nor obese.

American engines are notoriously inefficient. Which is why they're generally cheaper than everything. when you buy a 5.3 LS 1 from chevy it'll put out ~300 BHP. Volvo makes 4L engines that put out over 600 BHP. But hey, there's no replacement for displacement.
@nicolasbocchino3761
@nicolasbocchino3761 3 жыл бұрын
@@nilloc93 the thing is since American engines are big and underpowered it means they’re also not very stressed, which means they can last longer. Like the 5.7l 300hp v8 in a suburban. It’s not a lot of power for the size of the engine, but it’s pretty much indestructible
@smokincolt6425

@@nilloc93 Yeah, seems they make perfect crate engines, but god it leaves me in shock at how much better everyone else's engines are than ours lol. The original Top Gear was created all the way back in 1977. Jeremy "Jezza" Clarkson joined TG in 1988, and left in 2000. He returned to TG in 2002, reformatting it. Andy Wilman, producer of TG, was Clarkson's school mate. Together, they made TG a huge success. Hammond and May got on board, and along with Clarkson, formed the Terrible Trio. It used to be called rugby football until they finally dropped the football. The name football comes from the games literally being played on foot instead of horseback. Football comes from European origins. The American version was a combined game of rugby football and soccer (another name with European origins) hence the name football. Rugby football became rugby, soccer stayed soccer and the name football was adopted for the new game combining aspects of both. It's not because the ball is a foot long.
