Selby is unfairly hated by many (casual) snooker fans. True, he isnt in the conversation as the snooker-GOAT (far behind Ronnie, Hendry, Davis...), but he is making a case to be one of the greatest cue-players ever. -He is a 4 time snooker champ in an era of Ronnie, williams, higgins, trump. -in the current Format (since 2010), he got most days as snooker World Nr 1 by far -he has much more success in the pool world than for example ronnie, davis or williams who also played quite a bit of pool Overall, great player

He's a brilliant snooker player, the reason that he has more success than Ronnie and Williams for example is because they don't focus on pool like he does...if Ronnie and Williams focused on pool and left snooker it would be a different story. Trump is a pretty good pool player, but he still focus's more on snooker...if he didn't play snooker and only pool he'd probably be one of the best pool players in the world?

He is THE best cue man ever. Not even up for debate. Like him or hate him he adapts to each sport perfectly. Two completely different games that require such a different level of thinking and play. Any snooker to pool player will know this. Potting is easy. Mapping the game using the rules to best of your ability isn’t as straightforward. It’s not just as easy potting balls and you really see this when playing the likes of any top A team player from each county/district. You’re quickly exposed if you can’t think 5-6 shots ahead or don’t have a full grasp of the rules. Mark easily deserves all the credit he gets

This is the difference between pool and snooker, a snooker player can step into high level pool and do a job, but a pool player could never even compete in even a low ranking snooker event. No disrespect intended but it’s kinda like comparing chess to chequers.

Selby's an exception because he's excellent at snooker and pool though. Other snooker players are generally more competitive at this level of pool than the top pool players would be at the top level of snooker, but pool players will win pool tournaments, and snooker players will win snooker tournaments. They're different games.

In pool there is like a whole feet of pocket 😂😂 u hit near jaw far jaw doesn't matter it will always go in. You hit cushion no problem it will go in. Just try it in snooker where u got merely a 2 inch pocket from cushion side. And if u hit anywhere on it then it's not goin in. U have to hit on far jaw that too with precision to make a pot. So pool is for kids only. 😂😂😂
