Clash On The Coast IMCA Modified Trip to Florida

Made the trip to Florida for the Clash On The Coast IMCA Modified tour with guest driver Jesse Enterkin from Hunt The Front in our other car!

There is no way us race fans can thank you enough for not only putting Gator Bait in one of your cars but making the long trek to make it all happen. Well I am not surprised in the least that the Hoosier tires were blistering as what I seen with the tires on Jesse car were blistering. This has happened with three different style of Hoosier tires I have had experience with on modified's running a open UMP class at Creek County Speedway in Oklahoma, NCRA mods had a completely different tire from what you use or IMCA uses now, and then we have the current tire which is much different than the American Racer or old McCreary racing tire which was a DOT approved tire, since IMCA wanted the cars on DOT legal tires, which is why the McCreary then the American Racer had a DOT Approved mark on the side wall. I will add that the American Racer tire style holds up way better than the Hoosier tire does from my experience.

Yea last year we didnt have problems with blistering them but jesse was smoking them off for some reason.

@@CollinThirlbyRacing Well then you were fortunate last year that you did not have blistering issues. Because I have most definitely seen worse blistering than what you saw with Jesse, such as no tread plate, only the ribbing underneath or tire completely shredded to nothing more than sidewalls at best.

It was real weird racing against my own car but it was awesome to see how well he ran in it. He is a very good race car driver and dont think he gets enough credit for how good he really is! I think they have a htf series race that same weekend down south unfortunately
