The executioner is a very simple concept card, but something about him just makes it very fun to play. Perhaps its just satisfying to see the axe go forth and back and kill all the tiny minions. Perhaps the little whirly noise when the axe is spinning. Whatever it may be, i love this card.

The Royal Giant rework made sense because it's issue was clearly the range. But I think the issue with the executioner was more complex so it was harder to balance.

i have great rework idea for executioner just change his axe attack direction, rather than going in strait line and return in same direction, make it like a throwing boomerang in curve direction and he also dont even need tornedo after this change. I love how the executioner is portrayed in this video as an obsessive and clingy card, always trying to get the attention of the tornado so that it can have the triumphant relationship it once had with it. It can be seen through it becoming really strong so that the tornado would notice it/feel jealous that the exe no longer needs it, as well as when the exe is really bad so that the tornado will notice it and feel bad, only for them to end up in a functional and non-dependent relationship with each other in the end, kinda romantic lol

Could you make a video about the evolution of chests in Clash Royale? I think its a very interesting topic and many weird things are not known widely like for example that you can still see how many cards a free chest contains in a certain arena although the free chest is not in the game anymore since more than 2 years or that with the recent update most arena 20 chests will contain more than arena 15 chests but the arena 20 royal wild chest contains the same as the arena 15 royal wild chest.

Not quite about chests but search Math Royale in the subreddit. And there's a massive effort post about how long it takes to max out for your regular Joe today compared to years ago. It's over 5 years today if you play at 100% efficiency.

Executioner actually has a place now these days, whether or not tornado exists with the card, the change that increased his tile range helped him be more viable like the bowler when he was given the exact change. With the phoenix being dominant in some of the most annoying decks, the card is now needed more than ever until then.

People have mostly maxed out the 42 cards plus the other couple dozen released the next couple years. That's part of the reason SC keeps them weak and prone to Power Creep. To encourage people to spend to max out the newer, stronger cards.

I'm gonna be honest, I loved this era of the game. Before both the buffs of the witch and exe, I used them anyway. I was stuck in challenger 2, and these buffs helped me get out of that trophy range, and plus lavaloon was dead, so that's always a win.
