clashy collage masterboard to ephemera

I haven't been in my studio much the past week due to some back pain. I'm glad to have gotten to play today. I made some collage masterboards using scraps and bits from the #collagecrumbs (#collagefodder) I created last week. I cut up the clashiest of the collage masterboards to make ephemera. I hope to show how a background can look good regardless of whether you carefully curate scraps or glue down the next piece you pull from the scraps bin.

33:23 Writing poems on black tissue with a silver pen is a grand idea. Inspired by this I painted in black household paint some parchment and tissue paper as well as white napkins. But when in the morning I checked them I realized the paint created its own skin and the papers are not thin anymore. But that’s ok, I wrote on them and will use the pieces in my collages. I did not know English language before 1999 so I would not know any bad connotation of the word fodder. But ‘collage crumbs’ is a terrific term, I’ll use it for sure. 38:02. I bought this collection you show here and just finished making a no-sew journal made of these digitals backed with brown paper. Loving it so so much!

Time CREEPS when you hurt! Don't ask how I know!! Arthritis is almost as bad as muscle spasms. Arthr never leaves, but spasms hit you when you least expect then the pain hangs on!! Hot pads work wonders for me when I'm sitting trying not to move too much while crafting. Nice job on the masterboards. And I love the way they look terrific cut up regardless of what you think while making them. And just take one day at a time. It should get easier. 💔❤‍🩹❤

Two Old Crows Channel did that a few years ago. I think the playlist is 52 card challenge. It was when I discovered junk journaling/paper crafting! Peg at Two Old Crows. She was just getting started (it may have been during COVID) and she did 1 per week! Some really great creativity. 1 per day (Gely Postcard Play) or 1 per week (Altered Playing Cards)? No way I could stay focused for either one!!
