I did a project like this last year and finished several journals. I have more unfinished journals. I like making covers and tend to make several at a time because I do mixed media there’s a lot of drying time so I have at least 3 going at the same time. Then I start assembling signatures but lose steam because my signatures are all the same and I get bored…so I go and make more covers. lol! Anyhoo…I’m with you on this. Gonna finish some stuff this month. Thanks for the inspiration ❤

Hi Darcy…..I loved seeing you in the beginning of your video! With the ruler where the numbers aren’t so dark, could you put a line of white paint under them? You might be able to see them better. Why I don’t finish things is because I get interested in something different and forget about the other stuff. I started thinking I was gonna do gluebooking…..I have all kinds of pages saved, lots of cut outs, and way too many magazines! Haven’t gotten into gluebooking like I thought I would. However, I do like doing mixed media pages, or just painting pages. I don’t do journals really, but I like watching what you do.

I know the problem, we all know it. THROW all that you have fallen out of love with. Or geli print on them. I do that with digitals I no longer like. I have about 6 finished journals that need to be painted in and filled up with me... It's a lot.

OMG, Darcy! You have a HUGE supply of unfinished journals!! I love them all!! I sometimes do the same thing with the signatures. I'll make them and have good intentions on finishing them, and then I'll get distracted and make something else, and the next thing you know there are YEARS of incomplete stuff. I'm like you, I move on to the next project(s) or I do a lot of challenges and don't have the time to finish them. Or, I lose my mojo.... Nice collection of rulers. Those come in handy. Great progress!!

I only have 2 projects that aren't completed, and that is because it was new to me and I couldn't figure out the directions, and I realized that craft wasn't for me. If I spend the money on something then I'm going to complete it. I don't like wasting money

Bearly art glue lasts for years. I honestly prefer the lineco ph neutral pva. A few years ago, I bought a gallon of it. I have used more than half of it.

You may have mentioned this in a video before (I've not watched your back catalogue yet. So many talented people on KZbin and I'm trying to watch a lot of different people), but I get strong Butterfly vibes from you in the Clutterbug sense. (It's my type so I relate to the open baskets of broad categories and needing it to be easier for things to be put away than to get out.) Oh, about those sticky fingers, I was watching a British KZbinr but I can't for the life of me think who it was, and they keep a plastic container with a damp cloth on their desk to wipe their fingers on when the glue starts to make their fingers too sticky. I thought it was a useful tip. You mentioned something in the video about the green circles that went on the frog tag having come from a tape experiment, I think, and that if we asked about it, you might try to find the video. Yes, please. I'm curious to see what that was about. Is it strange that I'm kind of blown away by how many you've made so quickly and yet I have to remember how many you've probably made across the years, refining this down to a practiced system that works for you. Thanks for sharing, once again.
