respected sir at 7:39, we found the pressure by considering net force / surface area (horizontal rectangular slab like region on level of pt x), so while finding gauge pressure, if the vessel was fully erect up to height h (with same width of container as how much it is in its bottom) the fluid, and in the case sir has shown with funnel's example. in both the cases denominator (ie surface area remain same) but both will exert diff forces as mass occupied (or volume) by fluid is different in both cases so how to account this sir? plse correct me!!!
@physicsgalaxyworld8 жыл бұрын
pressure due to fluid only depends upon the column height not on the base area... this comes from Pascal's law that in a horizontal level (or level normal to effective acceleration of the fluid body) the pressure at all points remain same... so shape of vessel will not affect as the excess or less weight of fluid is balanced by the force by side walls of the container... watch all videos and advance illustrations in sequence to understand the logic by examples... on PG youtube channel or www.physicsgalaxy.com

Sir, if thin is vessel then at pt A then less is the mass of liquid then a wide vessel .So, pressure need not to be same as it experience pressure due to whole wt of liquid

Sir if at x net "inward" force/pressure exist then why in diagram arrows are pointed 'outward' in fbd of 'x'.?

considering a particle to be a spherical molecule , then in the pressure calculation net pressure (h.rho.g) will be due to all those molecules having centre above the centre of the concerned particle na ?
@physicsgalaxyworld7 жыл бұрын
Net pressure at any point is due to the weight of all the particles and any external pressure present anywhere on the fluid body and it acts in all directions at that point...
@anonymousone30242 жыл бұрын
Sir if at any point pressure is due to height column above tht point But we also consider tht point is at equilibrium because it gets equal pressure from all directions

Sir,you are saying the liquid particle X will experience pressure from all directions,but while calculating magnitude of pressure we used only weight of water column above the particle?So,isn't that particle experiencing pgh pressure only from upward?
@physicsgalaxyworld8 жыл бұрын
+Syed Sumaid It is due to the weight of liquid only but it acts in all directions due to spherical molecules and contact reaction between all molecules...

the lower part beneath x also exerts force then why it doesnt gets counted for pressure
@razeetnitwg4 жыл бұрын
Here they are calculating the pressure acting on solid.As you said,the solid exerts a reaction force back on fluid.Suppose we a take a point in fluid also,we are calculating the pressure acting on it from top,a reaction force will act on it from bottom,so the fluid is static.

@naturelover41483 жыл бұрын
