Sir consider a vessel half filled with water now I closed the lid will the pressure at any point be equal to Patm + hpg or hpg + (pressure due the air present inside the vessel) Thank you in advance

As air above the water is at atm pressure so it will be Patm + hρg

Sir but atmospheric pressure is due to weight of whole particles present above it.... So how it can be equal to Patm + hpg

Sir why not f1=f2 i mean if system has to be at rest then net force must be 0 on system

bro force can't be same as cross sectional area is different in 2nd picture. if force will be equal so pressure will be different

Sir what is the pressure at top point of container in case 1
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 5 жыл бұрын
It is zero as no air is there above the liquid... You can understand it in a different way also if in case of a completely filled closed container if we make a hole at bottom, liquid comes out and vacuum is created above the water as its level decreases at top (water evaporation is neglected here)

At 5:08 can you please explain that if the force F1 is removed...then the piston will apply a force F1 or F2 towards left!?
@DeepakSingh-or3cl
@DeepakSingh-or3cl 7 жыл бұрын
On a horizontal level I.e along the central line pressure will be equal since along that line forces in x direction cancels out as it is stationary! ( x direction equilibrium)

Deepak Singh i meant to ask...that what amount of force will the piston apply in the left...if F1 is removed !?

Sir why p1=p2 I have not understood
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 5 жыл бұрын
because tube is horizontal and atmospheric pressure is constant outside...

@@physicsgalaxyworld sir but area is inversely proportion to area for eg in case of a blade since area is less therefore pressure is more that's why we can cut vegetables into pieces, sir that's why I was having doubt in p1 and p2
