sir, What is the method to calculate the frequency of oscillation of a block connected to a multiple pulley - spring system
@physicsgalaxyworld8 жыл бұрын
both the methods of restoring force and energy method are applicable... watch such cases in adv illustrations which we have used for multiple pulley systems...

Respected Sir,Since the block is moving up with velocity v, hence y is decreasing with time. So why dy/dt is not (-v) ?
@physicsgalaxyworld8 жыл бұрын
+Mohak Sharma If you take dy/dt negative then as v is there in all terms of equation, you can multiply whole equation on the left by -ve sign... it remain same...

sir i dont understand what explanation u gave,if dy/dt is -ve then on multiplying full lhs by -ve then all terms change to -ve. plzz explain me criteria which i dont understand
@vishalsinghal67196 жыл бұрын
i think as dy/dt and velocity are in same direction so we take it as positive

Sir can we differenciate it w.r.t. y as total energy is constant so its derivative will be zero and dv)^2/dy will directly give 2a.?
@zyro99228 жыл бұрын
differentiation of v^2 is just 2v. Why is it 2v dv/dt? At 6:54.
@physicsgalaxyworld8 жыл бұрын
+Ali Hasan differentiation of v² is 2v when it is differentiated with respect to v but here we are differentiating wrt to 't'... if you are not clear with this, you need to follow all videos in sequence on topic 'Basics of Differentiation' on our website www.physicsgalaxy.com

Sir can we use work energy theorem?. I am getting the same result by work energy theorem.
@itachu. Жыл бұрын
yes you can... , and if one observes carefully , sir indirectly used the WET as you may get the same equation as KE(i) and PE(i) and spring potential (i) is zero and because of conventions final pe is negative... and nice observation i will remember this approach!

Change in potential energy can be taken from the reference state but you cannot compare it directly as in initial state energy may or may not be zero...
