Nice to see a 26 again. I haven't seen one since I did a walking holiday in Scotland as a student back in '83! Though I'm a dyed in the wool steam fan, I always had a soft spot for these, the 27's and the 33 Cromptons. I guess because they were all three pretty exotic for us Brummies who lived on a solid diet of 24's and 25's in this power range. Rodney the hoover's a long way from home though!

At 23.50, shunting the Teddy Bear, it's a good job there were no restricted clearances around, as it looks like the open engine compartment door on the right hand side is definitely fouling the loading gauge...
