I can really tell Trish is not down with the SS Scurvy-Camp. We’ve rented one ourselves and it’s sort of like staying at a rundown motel (SS Scurvy-Camp), when you’re used to a nice resort (Airstream). Also, as you accumulate miles they turn into squeak boxes. We rented one for a trip down to Lake Patagonia in Southern AZ and had a blast, but we had to wear earplugs due to all the squeaking. This video, while it seems tough for you to film, was the most “real” rendition of what RV camping can be the first few times you venture out in a new rig. Thanks for showing everything - blemishes and all.

Maybe it’s because they rented a Jayco!!! If they had rented a Tiffin they may have had a better experience. We have a class C Wayfarer and we don’t have any of those problems.

That one part where Caleb is explaining about feeling claustrophobic 14:55 to 16:09 was so hilarious. My hubby and I have watched this part over and over throughout the week for a good laugh. I like where Trish puts her punching hands on her face and Caleb knows exactly what she wants to do to Mark. I must say she controls her frustration very well and picks her battles carefully. Then the part where Mark tells Trish he doesn't want to drive 45 minutes to the restaurant I was yelling at the TV, oh you better take her now after what you did leaving the leash behind. It is a very real moment and we love watching KYD and we don't even RV.

I was waiting for his plane to arrive (a story in itself) & I visited Saguaro NP...had a good stroll learning about the cactus & had a bit of heat stroke & found a pop machine to stop its progression. Loved strolling around the Mission too. I’m not a heat person but I was fine & generally the only person outside😆. I had the AC going with the driver side window down because the sun was burning my arm through the window. Wonderful lightening storm watched from the hotel balcony & best of all found an amazing independent fabric shop! July in Tucson & you have the roads/streets to yourself during the day!

Ok take it from a Golden Retriever owner who got a Jayco Seneca Super C that our two Goldens HATED! They travelled fabulously in our dually hauling the fifth wheel but stressed themselves silly in the MH. Our vet prescribed two tranquillizers, one for their brains and one for their muscles and we gave them each one of these an hour before travelling. By the third leg of our drive to Orlando from Ontario Canada, they were weaned down to half of each drug. They figured out that being in the MH means they get to sleep. And we swapped out their dog beds for beds that have sides that cuddle them and hold them stationary. Part of their stress was their was nowhere for them to feel supported. Worked like a charm. Worth the stress for us giving our dogs drugs but it truly helped them cope. Their favourite spot to travel is in between the two front seats, sandwiched together.

You will enjoy the drive so much better knowing that can you walk down the isle without sliding on your belly while doing the four-corner splits." "Then ask them to put 30"x40" dog cushion on the floor of the dinette so you can stretch out and sleep without the fear of skating around the rig when Trish takes those sharp corners." "My owners did this to our Class A and I LOVE riding with them -- I especially love the view out the big window and cool breeze from their dash AC." "Sincerely, Kiko" Our shepherd wanted to pass this note along. I know, these are rentals, but if there is a motorized RV in your future (why else rig the Subaru for towing?), give this a try. Charlie might be freaked out about the fear of losing his footing while you drive. Our shepherd doesn't like riding in our SUVs, but love the Class A and the Class C we had before it.

My vet asked me to try one and wow did it make a big difference. He was a totally different dog after that. No more pacing or sick dog after I put his thunder shirt on. Vet said it was like we were hugging him and that was what made him feel better. It was worth every penny I spent on it. Order on line Amazon. Can't hurt and may be the solution to his anxiety. I wonder if Charlie would do well in a smaller space like a crate while in a larger coach. I keep thinking of the hugging contraption that Temple Grandin made herself in college when she was anxious.
@virginiamangold89123 жыл бұрын
In our RV, our English bulldog would go under the dinette table. She seemed to like it being semi-enclosed. Maybe it reminds her of her crate that she chooses to sleep in at home. We got a nice cushy dog bed to fit the area, added the plush blankets & toys she likes. It really helped her. Our second 🐕 is a little girl, about 9 lbs. She took to road trips like a champ. She will ride and sleep on my lap or in her dog bed next to the driver seat.

What a hoot. This was by far one of your funniest videos (poor Charlie). I can’t believe you’ve never camped at Catalina State Park. I totally get your comment about taking the Sa-wah-ro cacti for granted. I live in MN and we have a tendency to take our beautiful lakes for granted. A friend of mine once said “you can’t swing a cat in MN and not hit a lake”. My replay to her comment was “why would you want to swing a dead cat?” We’ve camped and hiked in Catalina State Park, it is an amazing place. We have also hiked Sabino Canyon (great hike through tons of large cacti), Saguaro National Parks (both east and west parks) and of course The Desert Museum (what a gem). Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the fantastic job. God Bless and Peace ✌🏼
