Hi, I have a question. As most commercial property is leasehold, would this effect conversion to residential? Would you need to buy the freehold in order to convert? Thanks in advance

It depends on the leasehold provisions in the lease - is it a long leasehold where the leaseholder can make alterations and change the use? Or is it a short lease where the tenant does not have that ability under the lease? Email me at [e-mail] and happy to be more specific! Thanks, Jen
