A new variant of class wars has appeared recently, and it's a lot of fun! This mode combines the core gameplay of class wars and randomizer - basically, each team spawns as a preset class, but the weapons they get are completely random. It's a lot of fun!

@@figeon Phlog was the best along with Direct Hit, It all depended on if you could hit your shots or not. As Direct hit can 1 shot sentrys and can 2 shot practically everything else. With Phlog is was easier to aim and you basically always had crits.

Ramen that was with a week or so if the server running, if given longer more options could have become meta, and since everyone was playing selfishly, things like pocketing heavy's with vaccinators could have contested them with higher HP classes

Pro tips: If you use a longer taunt while having the "forced taunt" RTD effect at the time you are supposed to be forced to taunt, you can skip the rest of the forced taunts

I haven’t played randomizer in years, and it’s so weird to see they have fixed the animations for weapons used on other classes. I’m so used to never seeing my weapons or my arms/weapons broken or blocking my screen. It’s actually cool to see the firing/reloading animations of weapons with different classes.

The randomizer allowing buildings to be made with a wrench only must be something tied to the server itself. I can't remember exactly when I saw it, but I remember a video going over the Construction/Destruction PDAs and how they function with Engineer. Creating a building has 3 requirements: 1. Have metal. Normally only Engie has metal, but I do remember something about a weird interaction with player-dropped ammo packs that gives 100 metal to any class. 2. Have the Construction PDA to open the interface Obviously normally Engie exclusive. 3. Have the hidden Toolbox item Because that's the item that is equipped when you are holding a building. Normally the latter two are impossible, so it doesn't happen. Upgrading only requires a wrench and metal though, so it can technically happen on any class.

This was actually my first experience of Class Wars before I caught the tail end of one of your streams. It was fun but I got stuck on back to back to back Pyro vs Heavy match ups. It was also really laggy at times.

My "most healed" stat is actually on Pyro having only played on official Valve Casual servers, lol. I'm a newb who's mostly just played Pyro so far, and being a team captain during Player Destruction actually contributes to that stat, since you heal your teammates like a dispenser would. Racked up quite a bit more playtime during Scream Fortress this year, which is a great time for folks who like these more niche game modes.

This is the randomizer from the red panda servers, the guys behind the attribute randomizer. They have normal randomizer and MvM one, although MvM one is broken atm in several ways. The wrenches there do NOT give you ability to build, but your building you build as Engie stay until destroyed by enemy even if you die and the wrenches can upgrade no matter the class. The weapon substitution works only with currently equipped weapons.

i like the dustbowl version of class randomizer more, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE, on dustbowl every player from 1 team uses the same weapons, so all red soldiers will have something like scatergun, sandwich and the kunai, while blue team maybe are snipers with rocket launchers, battalions backup and the wrap assasin, and even if they die they respawn with the same stuff so its like custom class vs custom class in a way and its kind of more funny that way then gettin something new everytime

There should be a version that makes it so it is not consistent with the slots. What I mean is that for example someone might have a secondary weapon in their primary slot. Stuff like that would be crazy. Imagine a Scout with 3 rocket launchers and a Heavy with three jars of pee.

16:47 if I had to guess I would say it's related to the order of weapons, My guess is that it check the weapons in order, and if a weapon requires the right click it gets assigned and then moves to the next weapon slot, and if that one also requires right click then it is assigned to another button, só the reason cloak is Middle click (in my eyes, I haven't read the code for the mod) is because it is technically a pda, and the sticky jumper is a secondary, so it gets the priority Edit: grammar fix

Most important part abt randomiser, engine can still build but usually not upgrade but can still build as the pda doesn’t change, same for spy with cloak and disguise but the cloak is random

Is there a variant where the class and weapon are randomized at the start of the game, but then stay consistent throughout? Like, if you roll spies with rocket launchers, you only get spies with rocket launchers. That could be a way to balance the game a little by making the bottom tiers have a bit more punch.

Man you gotta check out the new class wars mode blackwonder set up in their servers, it's not permanent and needs to be voted so the round after turns to that but it's worth it! basically it's 2v2 mode, 2 classes vs 2 classes It opens a WILD ass range of possibilities for class synergy, I've seen medic and scout red defeat heavy and scout blu, it's amazing! (lord medic is broken paired with everyone except sniper and spy)

I think a way to make the class wars part more relevant would be to limit the randomizer to weapons from the classes they share a type with (scout, soldier, and pyro can only use their and each other's weapons, same with demo, heavy, and engineer, and medic, sniper, and spy.
