Absaloutley loved this recipe thank you. Is there anything you could do with the leftover mixture?
@jaffacooks2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! I make a sweet omelette out of the remaining mixture. You could also soak some stale bread in it and make a delicious French toast. Let me know what you do and how it goes for you!

Why do they have to scratch their ear or the face before using the same hand to touch the bread ? Mind bugles !!!

For me, the crusts are the best bit. Am going to make this but with half an italian bread loaf, mmmmm lots of crust.

A lot of bread maybe, but if it’s stale it would just be a lot of bread in the bin or down the duck pond…not really good for ducks. So really, who cares if it’s a lot of bread.

Thank you for your comment. Marmalade is a tradition people have used for many years. However, my kids do not like the bitterness of the marmalade so I have swapped it for some sweet apricot jam. You are more than welcome to stick with marmalade but do try the recipe out and let me know how it goes! Subscribe for more delicious content and share with your friends and family!

I prefer my home made plum jam!
@grannyannie294811 ай бұрын
In Australia I've always put strawberry jam on each slice of bread as I butter them. I give the breadcrusts to my chickens who supply the eggs. I've also made it from leftover raison bread.

Too much bread too little custard
@jaffacooks Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. This is the traditional way my family has been making it for generations. My family prefers to have extra custard on the side, so we don't add to much to the pudding itself. However, everyone has their own preferences, and you are more than welcome to adjust the recipe to you and your family's taste. But do give the recipe a go and let me know how it goes for you!
