I found a 59 coupe de Ville in a pole barn in Burlington Wyoming.. I drove it home 40 miles away and I'm doing a complete frame off resto. I'm lucky to have it..

Another Cadillac with a clock which doesn't work ? Probably been disconnected. These cars were so smooth and quiet, even with the engine running that the clock ticking was so loud, that owners unhooked the wire out of the back ! Great video = )

Nah, the lube dries out and it freezes. Nobody deliberately disconnects them.

Surprised he didn't mention the factory cruise control. Very rare and highly desirable factory option that adds thousands to the value of this car.

Can we get a Gibberish-to-English translator over here to make sense of that word salad?

This car should be left in original condition, not frame off restoration. Just fix the few things that are missing/broken/not working. Possibly give it another paint job to restore the original color.

Will pass anything but a gas station. 8 mpg is the best you can hope for. This is a very heavy car.
@FMChimera6 жыл бұрын
Actually they do about 14 to 15 and they are no heavier than a lot of other cars( actual curb weight is around 4300, today's Hellcat weighs 4100 to 4200)
@MrDorbel6 жыл бұрын
@@FMChimera Actual curb weight of a '59 is 5,030lbs. Mileage (US gallons) is 8.6 mpg. www.automobile-catalog.com/make/cadillac/eldorado_1959-1966/eldorado_1959-1966_hardtop/1959.html

Who IS this guy? That car does not need a "retoration" and in listening to him babble he may be the last person I'd want doing it if it did. "Sail fin"? Vintage Air so it will be "fully equipped"? Dear God.
