a trick: you can watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies lately.

In past years changed many of both types.The ones with the separate canister must have the gasket changed after you remove the old gasket AND clean the gasket groove before installing the new one.

Hi Young Man, May I ask you a question please. Because the spin on filter is easier to fit than the canister one, is it possible for the housing to be replaced so that it will then accommodate a spin on filter thereafter? In other words are both housings compatible to be replaced with each other ? Thank you, Mervyn

Some after market housings are available for some classics to convert them to spin on type oil filters.

Hello, How can I find a new seal to put under the head of the bolt that holds the canister in place? My Zephyr has a bad oil leak from around the head of the bolt. Thanks for any advice.

probably your Zephyr parts supplier, maybe get in touch with the owners club

I forgot to mention that the car in question is an Austin 1100, with the canister type. Once , because the rubber gasket was not properly in place, which is tricky at the best of times, all the newly replaced oil was pumped out of the engine while I was waiting for the oil light to go out. Second attempt was successful but lost 5lt of good oil. This is my reason for replacing the housing and the question is.....will the spin on filter housing replace the older one? Thanks. m

Hi Mervyn, yes if you get the spin on oil conversion kit it should have all the parts you need, including the mounting onto the engine :)
@MrArtisticsound4 жыл бұрын
what about the whole housing. Replacing the old one for the new spin on one would that work?
@kgcclassics32114 жыл бұрын
@@MrArtisticsound you cant put a spin on filter onto the canister type fixing on the engine, you need the conversion kit which should have everything you need to do it
@MrArtisticsound4 жыл бұрын
You are missing the point because I fail to explain what I mean properly. If I remove the canister type fixing alltogether and replace it with the spin on fixing then I can use the spin on filter....would that work.

I do mine every 3000 miles or so, depends how much you use the car, but at least once a year should be good
