Classic Cars in Movies - Batmobile

The Batmobile is without a doubt the most iconic movie car ever! The car was based on the Lincoln Futura concept car. Before it became the Batmobile it was painted red and made it's movie debut in the 1959 MGM movie 'It Started With a Kiss'. After that movie the car was sold for 1 dollar. In 1965 the car was rebuilt in 3 weeks to the Batmobile as we now know it and made its television debut in 1966. In this video you can watch a scene from the television series and a scene from 'Batman the movie'. And some scenes from other movies in which the Batmobile made a cameo appearance. Enjoy!

As much as we love the sound of turbines, they are so impractical as a functional engine. In 2011 🐆 Jaguar built a one-off super-car with 4 micro-turbines. One for each wheel. The micro-turbines of today along with electric superchargers keep these little beauties running almost as well as a normal gas⛽ motor. Fuel consumption is far better than than Boeing,s thirsty turbines because they were designed for this in mind. Plus they are so much quieter too and they 🧵spool up ⏩ double quick!!!
