As someone who grew up in Puyallup, you did a better job at pronouncing it than most lol. The Classic Coaster is, well, a classic and I always ride it when I get the chance. They rebuilt it a little over a decade ago in quarter chunks per year, so it was fun to experience the smooth new sections, then hit the old rough ones back then. Oh, and those two insane ejector airtime drops are no joke. I swear I almost went flying out of the train one year, definitely a reason they tell you to hold on at all times lol

Washington State really lacks coasters, so when this one is open, it gets PACKED. Talking 2-3 hour wait times for this thing. People around Seattle are THIRSING for a good coaster if they are willing to wait that long for this thing. I have been here for 15 years now and still have not ridden it simply because I came from being born and raised in Orange County California with Knotts, Disney Land, and 6 Flags as all viable options. Another shoutout for Coaster at PNE Playland in Vancouver. They put in seatbelts this last year (boo) but the lap bar is still insane for how forceful and how much airtine you get on it. Truly an amazing ride and the oldest in Canada!

I loved this coaster when I was little! It was the scariest coaster any of the kids in school knew about after all. And when I rode it again as an adult, I banged my knee into the side of the cart while hanging on for my life on that hill. Absolutely nuts the difference in seating. Also additional Puyallup related thing. In my history class, we learned about how Puyallup got its name. Originally the founders had planned to name the town after themself. Just name it ‘Nameland’ But they ended up forming a good friendship to the Native Americans who already lived there and ended up naming the town after the tribe. The Puyallup tribe! And as people began to move in, they had a very hard time pronouncing the name ‘Puyallup’ So the founder would sometimes grab people’s lips and force them to pronounce it properly. You pronounced it perfectly by the way :] So no mouth grabbing for you!

This is a super nerdy comment, but this ride cannot reach 50mph. Physics forbids it. With a max height of 17m it could reach 41mph maximum, unless it goes underground or has a secret launch. The height could be wrong and the speed right - who knows! 🤷♂

I visit the Washington State Fair every single times it opens whether during the spring fair in April, or the big summer fair in September, and this is always my go-to ride. It's awful during the weekends when the lines are so long. And when they're long, they'll use both the yellow and blue train cars to get the lines moving more. Weekdays are the best when there's not that many people, but sometimes they'll only operate only 1 of the train cars. During the spring fair, they have a deal of rides/games where you can have 6 rides/games for $25 however it excludes the classic coaster. During the summer fair, you can purchase the dizzy pass (I believe it's $55 on weekdays, $65 on weekends, so $10 cheaper on weekdays $10 MORE cheaper if purchased online early) for unlimited rides and thankfully the classic coaster is included in that. Otherwise this ride costs 15 tickets, and normal price for ride tickets is 60 cents per ticket, so this would cost $9 to ride and stuff like the Extreme Scream (another one of my personal favorites) costs 30 tickets or $18. Unless you get the bulk price like 120 tickets for $60 (50 cents each) or 210 tickets for $100 (47.619 cents each) I always ask for the back row and they always allow me to. Sometimes I just have to wait one more ride cycle which is totally fine for me. The back row makes this coaster worth it for me. I would never ever ride this if they force assign seats and I would get unlucky for the front row. So thank goodness they let me be in the back row. UNLESS the line is very short and the train cars are not filled. They have to fill the front seats first for weight purposes, and that's what happened during the spring fair. I almost didn't get the back seat, but more people came and the first 5 were filled and I was in the back. It seems like on the blue car (maybe both) they have new lap bars because now it's secured on top of you instead of hovering above you. But the moment is still intense and amazing.

personally I haven’t been on many coasters but my home park is PNE/Playland in Vancouver, BC, Canada and that Coaster is absolutely insane in the back, that ejector airtime is on every single hill except for the first drop, and this thing has a ton of big and bunny hop hills, I am kinda bummed they put seatbelts on them but here’s the thing, I went into every single row and rode it to compare and I like to dub their seatbelts cosmetic seatbelts, those things do absolutely NOTHING in terms of hindering your movement, I found absolutely no difference between each version, and I’ve ridden this coaster more times than any customer in the world at close to 4000 rides as of right now. I would love to meet you there, especially now that the new launch coaster is opening up there in the next couple of months from now.

I actually wonder how well this ride could be if it was cloned but the clone was modernised and adjusted. Like get the gravity group onboard, take this rough layout, and modernise it with maybe a taller first hill, some steeper hills and drops, a little higher speed and some slightly sharper airtime across the ride. It could be great, and frankly could probably make for a decent cloneable layout.
