I kinda prefer the ancient guardian’s rework design, because most bosses can feel like a resource dump while still not having good enough rewards, but with the most recent rework he actually has a weakness that makes the fight more dynamic, it actually feels like there are multiple strategies you can employ while still forcing you to put thought and effort into fighting him, instead of needing to use cheese or very specific strategies, I think if more bosses either had weaknesses, or had more ways of defeating them then just the traditional kiting pattern with gear/specific counter measures, it can make fights more fair without making them too easy, it would especially help bosses that are way too demanding for solo play throughs.

I sincerely hope there's an update to the bosses, as bosses like Bee Queen and fuelweaver are anti fun with good loot, while bosses like Toadstool are the opposite, and of course, Crab King is downright horrible, especially being a requirement for Celestial Champion, arguably the best boss.

Really good video man, thank for the content! Had a lot of hot takes. If I could ask one more of ya, how do you feel about waves in Shipwrecked? Not the big ones from Sealnado and such, just the ones when your moving from island to island. My brother calls me weird for it, but I really like the waves because they add a level of interaction to the exploration, which is really what Shipwrecked is about in my opinion. How would you tier them?

Pinned comment! In short, I like how tough the Twins are but don't enjoy how flimsy the Eye is. And Nightmare Werepig is most certainly A-S because of the activities surrounding it!

Hay Beard, got a totally unrelated question. So I beat fuelwever recently and I was thinking if I should give the dread stones and join the darkness cause the rifts will be in caves so my main base wont be having too much problem. But after I defeat celestial champion, can I still make and use the bright Shade stuffs? I find killing crab king too much tiresome thats why made 0 progress on fighting celestial champion. :'D

I'm playing DS:SW and i finally survived to the hurricane season and for the whole season i was in fear that the sealnado will spawn and i won't be ready but now i have day 36 (monsoon) and sealnado still didn't spawn

I'm a beginner but am i the only one who finds moose goose easier than deerclops ? Even with the babies ? Antlion is on another level tho, i don't know if it's because i'm not used to turn my camera but it destroys me because i did not have the time to heal between the attacks

I would switch Ancient Guardian and Bearger as Guardian has a lot more to the combat side of things since the rework Bearger is a farmer with 3 moves: slam, swipe, sleep... Holds little significance in loot and could genuinely use a rework in my opinion. Guardian may have a big weakness but at least it's a mechanic instead of a cheese But it's subjective afterall, I like the discussion/debate that stems from tierlists as I like to hear opinions on stuff like this (as long as its a logical tierlist)

Bearger has more to them from sleeping mechanics, attraction to honey, aggression when food is stolen, etc. Guardian just rams into pillars and dies.

@TheBeard777 I definitely don't necessarily argue that the guardian fight is oversimplified by the weakness, and I always forget about the honey in particular with Bearger, I just find outside of the pillar stuns the guardian fights to be more interesting, maybe not difficult sure, but neither is Bearger as both are fairly quick patterns to get down... Also Bearger may as well not drop any loot because the thick fur is pretty easily replaced (not to mention fur tufts blowing away in the wind just for some irritation factor)

Celestial Champion isn't easy in any sense of the word. I beat it on a Klei dedicated server and the only reason we won - we had all twelve players fighting it simultaneously - was that we had a Wanda who kept reviving people. The third phase just completely wiped us all. It might be easy if you've fought it a hundred times, but unlike Nightmare Werepig, it'll butcher you the first time you fight it and most people haven't ever seen it since it's such a pain to spawn.

Duude acient guardian is so better now, in the past you can just block him in 1 piller and just hold F untill he die, and if you dont block him is takes just to long to kill it(and why, is ment to be a easy boss) now you can play around the pillers to stun him or you can doge him like in old days if you wanna + now he has a secound form who makes him more fun to battle

Malbatross is F. Even the worst boss in game has something better than him. The fight, the torturing finding and spawning him. There are no actual reason to kill him since the only reason people go on the ocean is when they want to find lunar island or Pearl which are very easy to locate and pretty close to the main land. He should be in D which mean Deletable.

Alright I would change a bunch of things here Fuelweaver goes up to S tier along with klaus I love these fights even if fuelweaver is a bit bs sometimes if you mess up at least once Bearger down to either C or F too easy for being the final early game seasonal boss Clops up in A cause he teaches new players a lot of things such as kiting, sanity and not to let random enemies run around unchecked Sealnado goes up to A it's so overwhelming when it comes to visuals and how it feels I love it Iron hulk goes way up in A I love his moveset even if his HP is a bit low and he lags me with too many rocks I don't mind it considering how fun he is Guardian goes to B I love his moveset but I do agree he is way too easy nowadays maybe a bit more dmg or HP could really pumb him up Anlion to A actually idk why you hate her I enjoy her fight a lot Malbatross ,spider queen and moose go to B they aren't as bad as people say but they aren't the best either Lord of the fruit flies surprisingly goes to B for me I actually like his fight the difficulty is easy but he is meant to be easy You also forgot some... The twins along with the eye go to A they are just fun to me Nightmare werepig goes to S he is like a dark souls boss and I like that
