Classic Doom vs. Modern Doom Discussion

Both styled games are great, but which one comes out the superior experience?

Wolfenstein is a technical achievement so that’s why it acted as the base role for doom’s development. The reason why I like old doom so much is its shear of content and inspiration.

I never grew up with the classic Doom games. My first Doom game was Doom 3 BFG edition. Then that is when I gave classic Doom a chance and I can see the charm in it. It is just get to point A to B, keycards, and kill bad guys along the way. I'm starting to like that formula more these days. These days, you can get classic Doom at such a cheap price. That is why I'm excited these indie devs are making old school fps games these days like Prodeus. I'm pretty hype for the Deep Realms conference next week to see the games they announce.

I'm definitely looking forward to the Deep Realms conference because John Romero is going to be there and I know he's been secretly working on another Doom wad, and I think he's going to reveal it at that show.

I played classic Doom as a kid but only got really into it a little earlier than Doom 2016's reveal and I'm yet to play Doom Eternal, but between classic and 2016 there's something about the fluidity and rhythm of the classic games that hasn't been perfectly translated into the new games although they still are very fun.

I prefer classics. I played DOOM (2016), the beginning threw me off. The movement speed feels slow, first level feels like , and the shotgun feels dull. So I returned to Brutal DOOM. I know weapon upgrades exist, but that's one aspect I dislike. I haven't fully play it yet, I'll comeback if I have time.

I love classic doom more for example doom 1.2. final doom and doom 64 it's way better
