I've also been playing. Quit wow after mist. Came back for Classic relaunch. Skipped tbc(most played originally) Came back for wrath until they added micro transactions. Played a tiny bit of sod... Didn't vibe with it. Came back for this movement. Really looking forward to a classic relaunch.

I feel exactly the same. Got a video coming in the near future breaking that exact statement down into why it feels more like retail aswell. SoD was so fun at the start but lost alot of it's charm (in my opinion)

Hardcore servers are also popping off. Much more of a community feeling and tons of people leveling. No GDKP or boosts. Great place to level up...carefully ;)

classic era has steadily gotten more and more players over time, i was a day one era player tbc wasnt for me, theses are get servers to have a character to chill on over a long period of time that you can always come back too.

Sooo I never left Classic Era. After the TBC split, I actually stayed, with my guild which was a small number of players. Throughout the years we've experienced the ups and downs, and the re-emergence and the decline of player populations. Now though, for the last year or so the pop on classic era has been steady. People ranking, guilds progressing and clearing raids, leveling guilds, duels outside org. Overall the population is in a good place.

My biggest issue with SoD is leveling too quickly. You get over leveled so quickly that you have to skip quest lines just to stay level relevant with quests. I understand this is great for players that just want to level quickly and move on to the end game.l content. I wish it was optional to have the Discovery boost and still try out the DoS content.

Yea I agree. Raw gold farming was after 1-2 months dead in 2019 too. Herbing/Mining was almost instantly better than raw gold. Bots will make it useless to farm raw gold even on a fresh. I like it way more to have every raid available at the start too. Vanilla does not make older raids useless. MC is good for Thunderfury, BWL is good dft/tear, ZG alot go for the mounts, Ony is popular for the world buff, AQ40/Naxx most people need items too. The gearing in vanilla is designed to take ages if you are not loot counciling all items to you.

It has only lowbies because that's the server blizzard locked. Deviate delight is the official fresh server and can only create fresh characters on that server.

@@TheWowzz Atleast 4 Pugs per week for every raid on both factions (ZG/AQ20/Ony even more). Alot of english and non english speaking guilds, mostly every language has a guild. (Germans with like 4-5 on each faction have the most tho) English speaking guilds are of course the biggest ones. GDKP's are no problem just get the Ignore List addon that hides GDKP messages and you will not even notice them anymore because there are enough pugs and guild runs. Alot of people are leveling right now. On prime times you get a group for every dungeon in 15-30min. As a tank instantly. The market is stable too. You will always get stuff sold over night (materials etc) Money sinks like a epic mount are easier to get now (down or upside depending on you). Usually if you keep up your mining/herbing you will have around 1.2k gold at 60 if you level alot in the open world. Bots are less broken compared to 2019. They cant teleport or noclip anymore and "only" running around on mounts. So you will get black lotuses/arcane crystals easier. But its not perfect of course. I see meaby 1-2 in each zone that has big thoriums/black lotuses its way better compared to 2019/20 Chronoboons fixed world buffs and there is way less raid logging. The world feels 10x more alive because you can save your world buffs and can still play whenever you want without loosing them. Thats it I hope I could give you the infos you wanted ^^

Bro, the inflation is gr8! x2 respecs & 5 chronoboons every week was 3-4 hour gold farm Now its 30-60 minutes doing the same kind of farms Regular & Epic mount is more easly obtatinable for new players Before you farmed 1h for 60g and bought a flask Now you farm 1h for 200g and buy a flask There is litterally no downside. Beside if you farmed a lot of gold before the inflation. Then it obvious devalued. But besides that, it's Gr8 because every gold sink isn't as much as a gold sink as before!

I agree. Don't see much downsides. People just want to level alts normally, boosters having problems finding enough people to boost. I see less and less boosting ads in LFG. On a fresh boosting would boom again because everyone gets fomo.

People will always come bak to classic. Its the hero's journey before it all gets out of hand. All blizz need to do is keep adding to it, new zones/quests, bgs, tweak/add classes etc. Even slow the xp rate to sustain the ride. Or just go for wow2

If you're not bothered about world PvP the PvE servers are also pretty popular. The EU PvE cluster has a great community with no GDKPs, very little boosting and plenty of guilds progressing through content.

Can't agree Solheim. I get groups for low level dungeons in 15-30 mins as a tank instantly. There are 4-5 Pugs for every raid on both factions every week. Guild runs alot more. The economy if fine GDKP's are not even noticable if you get a addon that hides the GDKP messages. There are more than enough PUG's / Guild runs.

The reason ppl like era(over the fresh/sod) is because its the loud minority that dont want gdkps, evidently most ppl like it, otherwise it wouldnt be so popular. As a gamerdad (and allot of era/classic andys are gamerdads)who cant follow a raid schuedule , i love gdkps, i can get into naxx with my t3 priest without beeing in a raiding guild. The problem is not gdkps , the problem is blizzard not policing their own game. Silly to tell people how to play because they cant ban the gold sellers/buyers.

@@ScryerTV inflation so high new/casual players cannot participate. people with decades of experience just race to cap, meta everything to control the economy, then sit ontop of the pile of shit that they've helped create until it completely dies out. then people who run gdkp's gatekeep and hoard gold to screw the economy. bots farm ore/herbs faster than a new player on a slow mount so they can't effectively farm materials for income. experienced players get all the profession recipes faster and new players can't compete for income. the game is better because of diverse playerbase. people hoarding, controlling, gatekeeping, and manipulating the markets take the fun out of it for new players so they go somewhere else. it's not a healthy ecosystem. just like a pond with big fish that eat all the little ones, they eventually starve because of their own greed. I played in original vanilla/tbc, there were people with lots of gold but they weren't as toxic as players these days

@@olov244 High inflation is a good thing for new / casual players. If the prices are high, it's way quicker to farm your regular and epic mount. It's also ALOT faster to farm ur 100g for 2x respec and chronoboons (Gold sinks) If you farm materials and sell, like before inflation. After a hour of farming, you're able to buy exactly the same as before. As EVERYTHING have gone up in price. You farmed 60g in 1h to buy a flask before You now farm 200g in 1h to buy a flask That there's a group of ppl that do GDKP and pay 100k for a item doesn't affect you AT ALL if you just join one of the many regular guilds and raid as usual every week. There is litterally no downside for average joe, only upside. You dont, the average joe dont need hundered of thousand of gold to raid or do naxx. They have to farm consumes as the same rate as before. But now it's quicker as they alrdy got their mount, respec cost is lower and chronoboon is "cheaper". No?
