I enjoy that too. It's easier to follow I believe, rather than them walking around while they are talking about each item or change. BTW, I'm so confused I've been watching for years since Lara was very young & I never saw that white upholstered chair she was cleaning. I only remember the chair next to the fireplace under horse pic. When did that happen? LOL Edit to say, I watched it again & the upholstered chair was next to the fireplace in the beginning of the video but then put the wooden chair there & put the white 1 near the couch & front door. That's the part that threw me off. HAHA

I’ve been doing the same thing here as you: upping the cozy quotient with some autumnal decor. Using old treasures in the fall colours - browns, creams, teals, rusts - is a trick I learned. The items aren’t fall’ish, per se, but they look cozy when grouped together. I love what you have done with the natural elements!

I’m fairly new to your channel. I watched your Christmas house tours because one popped up in my recommended and so I had to watch more of your Christmas and fall content(Vlogmas and Vlogtober) because those are my favorite times of year. I came to truly enjoy how you present yourself, home and life. I like so much that you keep your kids off camera most of the time so that they have the privacy that they deserve. Most people don’t do that so I appreciate you so much for that! Also, I think your mantle and built-ins are so gorgeous and I never get tired of seeing them. I want to tell my husband that he needs to get busy 🤣, so we will see what I can do. You’ve also inspired me to downsize, declutter, simplify and I’m having fun doing that. This was a nice introduction to the next season. Has me wanting to go through our decorations and sort them out. Turning furniture is a way to break up a room and also to allow your eyes to focus on items you just "automatically " see.

Love the simplicity of the mantle with that plaid clock and bittersweet. The large amount of wood is so charming, that it doesn't need a lot. Loving the tufted ottoman and throw. And I am amazed at what an impact turning the dining table made to that space. I love your home is ever evolving.

I love your mantle decor! My new home only has carpet in one closet and I have a small upright rug shampooer but it doesn’t have attachments, so I’ve been thinking about buying a shampooer for the furniture. The one that you used seems to be very versatile with all of the different attachments!

I just love how you decorate with thrift finds. I’m a huge fan of Ralph Lauren, major. I just can’t get enough of his style. You do so well with what you’ve found. Wanted to give you a couple ideas. Find photos or prints you like on line, take a picture, and then take to Costco, Walgreens and have printed. They turn out amazing, and for a fraction of the cost. I also go to JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, or wherever they have fabric, and buy his style of printed fabric. I’ve sewn with corduroy , plaids, and any of his styles, tweeds, and made pillows, runners, and even made valances. His stuff seems more expensive now that he doesent have a lot of it in stores. Paisley is another good option. I even have an equestrian tree with a lot of his ideas. Take care and I enjoy your channel so much. If you ever need ideas or some help, I’m here.

LOVE those dishes, and the table looks great that way. I feel like the chairs- end ones and the 4 metal ones just showcase it so much better. I constantly change things around and eventually I get it right, like a puzzle 😍- if that hutch behind is in the way of the chair don’t hesitate to move it off to one side. It’s surprising when things aren’t exactly centered, it actually works 😊 but it looks great as it is 👍😊😊

Love this fall cleaning! I have been a long time follower, and even though I have cut most social media - I come back to see your videos! The Hoover cleaner looks great! Just a tip: I had a upholstered chair that I couldn’t get clean after a number of years. I gave it away to my mom. A few years after that she had it professionally cleaned and it came out nearly spotless. I now get my furniture don’t every couple years and spot clean between. Just a thought incase you ever think it might be too far gone.
