I always put a wall mirror and small table in the foyer and put a fat tall timer candle and a small silver dish for car keys. It is a perfect place for a vase of fresh fall flowers and branch of colorful leaves too. It says "welcome home" each time you walk thru front door. In vases of fake flowers, I open a paper envelope scent sachet and pour contemts into vase, then top with artifical florals. I do this in bedrooms and bathrooms.

I think it is so wonderful that you knew what you liked years ago. I am in my sixties and still don't have a fixed style. Mostly because my husband likes everything I don't. He likes modern shinny and glass. I hate cleaning glass and it makes me feel cold.

Thank goodness! Finally, a woman who hasn’t went “farmhouse” with all white and galvanized tin! When you said you loved the darker colors, that they suited your home…I immediately subscribed. I have a small cottage that too is cozy and classic like yours. I have three plastic totes in our basement closet and when I tired of things, switch them out. If you buy the right accessories in the first place, you can always use them for many years. Thank you again for your lovely video.

You can't ever go wrong with Ralph Lauren as your inspiration! I think your curtains are perfect year round. You have nailed the cozy, collected look! I look for "seasonal" type blankets or scarves at the thrift store and then drape them over the swing on our porch.

Adding the extra picture frame balanced it out on the small frames. If you use three I think it needs raised a bit or space out a tiny bit more. I love your home, I love color and warmth. I love the farm house look and enjoy it when others have it in their home but it is not me. I am more country granny cottage. I love your look. One thing I like about you is you get a high end look which looks like you spent a huge amount of money on. Also everything works together. Using what you have and buying specific pieces over time. Its modern , classic, also timeless. Great job!
