I'm definitely a Feadie guy! And, I don't think I've ever seen a Feadship I didn't like. The chart space is sumptuous. The engine space is pristine. And, the crows nest on this sportfish is absolutely incredible. Thanks Ken, I thoroughly enjoyed Sid's tour.

Sid, I may not be Mr. Denison, but I think you did a great job. I am _not_ one for sport fishing (catch & release at the lake or coast) and my preferences are for 150'+ luxury yachts, but I really like the older style (and this boat is almost as old as I am) and this is one I would consider if I were in the market. I love the casual, yet clean and detailed feel of the interior. Thanks for the video. :)

Go to 1975 on the mothership Odyssey about 100 miles north of Cairns Australia I recall my parents sitting around the aft deck table whilst Arthur showed us the plans for this boat ....flash forward to 1978 and I recall going onboard for a days fishing (can't remember where) .... great boat, great guy. RIP Arthur

It's amazing how they put a yacht inside this 85 foot sport fishing boat. The only compromise to me is the absence of a VIP accommodation. Other than that, the galley, the salon and dining area, the bridge deck and the owner's accommodation are of a size and layout you would expect on a much bigger boat. Crew quarters too...sleeping space for 2 crew and a Captain in a double bed. Yes she's old...gold fixtures in the bathrooms, lots of white wall panels framed with wood and straight lines everywhere but dated and somewhat ugly like some late 1970s boats? No way. She's still a wonderful live aboard cruiser.

Why is the cockpit at the back of a yacht and in front of an airplane?

Apparently the cockpit of an airplane is named after a literal cockpit or place where cockfights were held, due to it being a small space where a great deal of stress may occur. The cockpit of a boat is derived from the old English term cockswain, meaning small boat (cock) servant (swain). The cockswain was typically in charge of steering the boat from the aft. This area of the boat would eventually become known as the cockpit.

I thought Feadship only made 2 of these sportfishing yachts. Patriot was one of them, which Denison handled the sale of a few years ago. Then another one popped up not too long ago that was similar to a sportfishing yacht and had been modified to look that way. Guess that previous statement made about Patriot was slightly inaccurate. Oh well. Nice boat. And a Feadship so it's the creme de la creme. However, this is a little dated. I get the owner didn't want to go all Theseus with it. Literally, but....
