Helpful vid Tim, my Giardy is now charging, happy days. Longer runs now planned. Can't believe it carries 2 adults, 2 surfboards and wetties inside, nickname....'The Tardis'

Thanks Tim, although it didnt go to plan, still very detailed and useful. Let us know in your next vid whether new brushes fixed your defunct dynamo.

I've gotta admit something- Sometimes I'm busy so I just put your videos playing in the background to help a fellow Fiat 500 KZbinr get more "watch hours." lol

Hi. I’m getting 13-14 V from 51 regardless of whether 67 is connected to it or not. Battery going flat after a long run in the car. Do you think dyno ok and my problem lies elsewhere eg regulator ?
@FoxSpeedshop5 ай бұрын
Probably regulator issue yes

Hi Tim, thanks for the video. Question if I may. The 17m nut on the front by the pulley hub. As this rotates freely, how do you get it off? Do you jam up the 3 pin hub to enable to get some purchase on the 17m nut?
@FoxSpeedshop2 жыл бұрын
Yep, usually put a long screwdriver between 2 of the studs

A clever idea in wedging the brushes. I did this once and it was a nightmare. I reckon better to remove it and replace bearings and clean the commutator etc. In my xase that would probably have been quicker. :)

Well as you can see im going to end up having to do the same, but people wanted to see how it could be done on the car, and so i set out to prove its not as hard as is often made out if you are a bit lateral with your thinking!
