I got this game on steam. i downloaded it but then when i pressed play, all it did was say that i was in game for a few seconds, then go back to online. any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks for telling me about the global defence game for the PS2 mate. I never knew about that one. Is it a different game from Monster Attack? I found one cheap on E,bay but wasn't to sure if it would be the same as M-attack

I friggin' love this game, but it does have a few problems: I can't get it to install (xbox 360 version) and the AI squad-mates keep shooting me with missiles. Currently loving the Jet class type though.

I saw it was on sale on steam and I said "lol EDF, dat cheesy game." I now am a major fan, IT IS THE MOST UNDERRATED GAME EVER! I have had hours of fun just taking a minigun and triple rocket launcher and beating millions of bugs, robots, and ROBOT BUGS to death with bullets. Note: If you are saying, this game does not look that good, IT IS. It is also on sale on steam for like 7 bucks so get it now :3

The original game was not an Xbox 360 exclusive because i own a copy of it on the Play station 2. They changed the title though on the PS2 version and it was called "Monster Attack" Exact same game though. Bought in the U,K, so it was available in the U,K, for sure but not sure about other countries. The original is a great game so i would deffo buy this new one.

This is where it gets confusing, you see, Global Defence Force (EDF 2 in japan) is the SEQUEL to Monster Attack, and the Xbox 360 game EDF 2017 (EDF 3 in japan) came next, EDF 2025 (EDF4 in Japan) is coming later this year to PS3 and 360

I the first game, but the people talking about the "variety" of levels on the last one are crazy lol... Basically you had city, linear caves, mountains and beaches... All of them looked the exact same so basically there was no variety... This is an improvement over the last game... Better vehicle controls, "variety" in classes... Only thing I can knock this game on is I wish it was longer, but they do give you campaign remix and survival mode... It's a good game

Thanks for the info friend. I think i could get it for about £5.00 over on E-Bay. I saw one guy selling it for £99.00 lol. Not sure if he had typed in the wrong price but it wouldn't surprise me if he was serious. I can't remember Digitizer but i can remember when Teletext first came on T,V, and soon after they did have a page reviewing games way back then. I bought the game shown in this vid but i didn't like it as much as M-attack. Maybe it will grow on me. I only played it for like 2 hours.

I wonder if this came still has fire-breathing cyborg godzilla with city killing death cannons for arms like 2017 had. Or Deathstar 2.0 that transforms into a world devestator with hundreds of hyperdeath rays and life-seeking lasers. Does the game have Chuck Norris hiding behind Storm-1? It should.

N.B. EDF 3 is a remake of EDF 1 (Monster Attack)

@ClipOnSunglasses No it wasn't. Monster Attack and Global Defense Force were the first two games in the EDF Franchise, they were only released in Europe and Japan. EDF 2017, the third game in the series, was exclusive to the Xbox 360. It was not a port, as it had unique levels, different enemy designs, and a different story.

The other EDF game for the 360 was not in my country, well I never found a copy anyway. But this one is gonna be released here, and it is half the price of a new game! I am happy! Oh fuck it! EDF!!! EDF!!!
