You're better off just getting Extreme Versus Full Boost. The online community for that is bigger and you have a larger roster. Plus it's not that expensive either. Less than $50 most of the time.

Make sure you buy the updated sequel to the game that came out in 2014 if your'e gonna pick it up. It's called extreme vs:Full Boost.

Saying this is a button masher isn't really doing the game justice. It's actually very technical, there's a lot of skills required, with how you move your MS around and when you do attacks and combos and whatnot. If you want to survive the later difficulties of the game or just win more consistently you need to stop playing this as a button masher.

Starscream Exactly. When I first picked this up I could barely understand what was going on, despite knowing how to read the text. Dynasty Warriors Gundam is a button masher, this is FAR from it. There's a minimum level of skill required to even fully understand the game. The movement is probably the most important thing

Last year Bandai Namco tried to make an american version of these kind of games called Rise of the Incarnates. And it was so good, but it was a pc exclusive and the requirements were too high to be massive.

The problem with a US (and European, Canadian, etc.) release is that all of the licensed theme songs will be dummied out in the transition.

You should review Full Boost. Its the sequel and its out with more maps, more songs, more characters, etc.

Yeah i own it and it's almost objectively more complex and polished than virtua on. Guess you have to play the actual arcade game to tell but I did in japan and the actual pace of the game is at least 3 times faster than any virtua on game i played. Controls are very good as well

The arcade game only in Japan right? Ive seen that other title. Looks wonky, the graphics are terrible, and the hud is like one of normal FPS and not a mobile suit cockpit. I want a Gundam game that is like the show. Grunt mobile suits go down with a few shots, the piloting is fast and smooth, beam weaponry isn't just a glowing blunt object, etc. I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

That's not saying much when most of the games have terrible controls. Not even saying it's a bad game. It's just not what I'm looking for out of a Gundam game. When I see the presentation and fluidity of games like Battlefront I see no reason why Gundam games can't take a step in the same direction. Operation Troy a while back had the right idea IMO. Something like that with bigger more frantic battlefields, space combat, faster gameplay, etc. Just give one game a big budget and let the developers make a true labor of love and not just another quick cash grab.
