This game looked amazing in the arcade. The cabinet and the screen were gigantic!

The main reason to play this game is if you grew up in the 90s. Konami used to make great beat 'em ups like this and The Simpsons. I can't forget standing there in the arcades with my friends playing this game. Arcade operators loved this game back then because they could drain quarters/tokens from 6 players simultaneously. I miss the 90s...

The fact that this is the only game I ever played with my entire family, video game or otherwise, is testament to its greatness. Welcome to Die indeed.

This is the one arcade game I truly went apeshhh over as a kid. Mainly because it was awesome to see 6 people playing on one arcade machine at the same time. I remember the 6 player machine actually used 2 monitors side by side to because one just wasn't big enough. I've been playing this on MAME for years but this actually allows you to play with 6 people as it was intended.

as always the konami music is epic! and 2nd really cool that they really understand that hardcore fans want these epic oldskoolers back on their consoles. they should release cadilacs and dinosaurs, metamorphic force and violent storm, awesome games! beat em up for life!

@manofiorn While I do like my Xbox 360, that is specifically why I bought the X-Men arcade game off of PSN this time and I actually did get to play it in at least 5 players offline. It was really fun introducing my sister and my friends to the "Welcome to DIE!" line and just hearing comments about 5 X-Men ganging up on one boss. It felt like the 6 player cabinet I knew and saw at one point but never got to play it. Wish I did play one back then.

@Broyale26 I do too but in an age where your console has as much computing power as a factory of arcade machines...I just don't see them making a comeback. Fortanatly we still have arcades where I live that cost a buck or two but are really engaging like riding the motorcycle in full HD screen, surfing or picking up a sub machine gun and blasting some good old fashioned aliens. Until they can shrink that down I think thats where arcades will still live on.

@WallyWadeMovies it's CADILLACS AND DINOSAURS! Lol, whatever the name was in the ballpark. YES we need those good ol arcade brawlers. I didn't grow up playing Punisher or C&D, but I played them on MAME and damn they're so good! Makes me wish I DID grow up on them so I would have played em more :)

キテイを救出せよ! kitei o kyuu shyutsu seyo! The voice actor says "from the cave", but the Japanese doesn't mention it, so they're not exactly matching text with audio. I wonder why this version still retains Japanese text, but with English-speaking voice actors. Did they record different audio for the Japanese version being used here, or did they pull audio from the already-existing US version? I'm guessing the latter, but I'm a bit curious as to why/how they did this.

My parents used to take me with them when they went bowling and the arcade inside of the bowling alley had this game.My parents used to give me five dollars and send me on my way while they bowled. After about thirty minutes my money was gone and I spent the rest of the night begging my mom for more quarters.Good times.

There was a dual screen, 6 stick version of this in the arcade near my school back in 92/93. You'd think that would have eaten all the money, but it had stiff competition in some four seat Virtua Racing and four seat Final Lap 2. I spent a lot of time in the Power Drift hydraulic cab and one dude put all his money into one of those cartoon titty 2D pool games.

@Nintendoman15 Yeah, like old gen gamers weren't graphics obsessed. Or maybe there's a different reason why game consoles were suddenly coming out with the number of bits they had in their name. Or the abyssmal 64 graphics console that was to ahead of its time for people to work on it, so it had only 16 bit to 32 bit graphics. But they made it 64 bits to compete with other games, even using the slogan, 'do the math'.

@boru25 Konami did the same thing on the PSP version of Symphony of the Night, a few reasons were given. 1. Konami was unhappy with the quality of the translation. 2. They were unhappy with the voice acting. 3. Bad/low quality (by today's standards) sound samples to work with remained. Which was a shame because I like a lot of people thought that Alucard's voice actor in SOTN was pretty good, even if the translated script and every other actor in the original production were laughably terrible
