Classic GP9 High Hood; Adrian and Blissfield Railroad

5.25.24 Fleming MO - Norfolk Southern Kansas City District Milepost 242 - CA Junction
I didn't see this coming...Adrian and Blissfield GP9 #1751 built in 1957 on mainline service. Originally built for the Grand Western Trunk Railroad, ADBF #1751 has ventured a good distance away from it's 20 mile long Class III tracks in Michigan and is somehow now on its way to Kansas City.

I wonder if 1751 will become a dedicated switcher at a grain facility or something else. Lovely catch of this dearly antiquated unit! Always a treat to the eyes and the camera lens!! Nice work here!

Ya know, I never thought about that, maybe it's going to continue its life elsewhere. I saw the radiator fans moving but I couldn't tell if there was actual power applied to the axles. Thanks man, as always much appreciated👊
