Played with him a few nights ago and resulted in the death of my 51 warrior. Bro does not know how to press his buttons. Of course he survived. I strongly recommend against playing with anyone in the guild on Doomhowl. All new players that will put your character at risk.

I love hardcore and many good players enjoy it, but the skill floor is just astonishingly low.

@ Didn’t actually notice this good eye. Taunt has a larger distance you can use it from by just a tiny amount. Taunt would have been the play but if you watch how the heals were dealt out during the fight i’d say it was potentially either him or the other warrior. Other warrior wasn’t getting much for heals either

They accepted a pitched battle with Rotgrip in HIS territory! Why? You can fight Rotgrip on or near the dry land to avoid this problem and also make it easier to bound his aggro around when needed to clear bleeds (or get out of range of him by jumping off a ledge etc.) They failed a knowledge check is all. You can't eat and drink in the water, and this fight is a health and mana attrition fight which often ends with the tank bleeding and the healer oom or close to oom. If you fight him closer to the land you can eat and drink as soon as it ends and not waste a level 51 character with engineering leveled. Sad but freshman mistake

13:48 From what I've seen mobs seem to have increased range on seeing you if you access a chest. Best way to think of it is that they hear the chest and ignore the fact they're facing the wrong way.

Mobs in WoW only have directional vision for detecting stealth players. For just aggroing, it's a circular radius. When you click on a chest, the chest "calls for help" from nearby monsters within a radius of itself, and then those monsters that respond will make a social aggro call to monsters nearby themselves. Thankfully, monsters responding to a social aggro call from another monster will usually not make their own social aggro call when responding.

lol i love how in the clip with bean, the mage says he didnt get any heals. First of all it looks like he pulled RIGHT after they killed a boss without saying anything, and second, he went from pretty much full health to 0 in about 1-2 seconds, hed have to get lucky or have the most insanely fast reaction time of anyone in the world to pull that off

Not to mention he's supposed to do a max range rank 1 blizzard to group up the mobs as they run in, not a melee range frost nova. Even if you position it perfectly, you cant get all of the skelebums in one frost nova because of their echelon arrival. You have to snare the front ones and have the back ones catch up, hence rank 1 blizzard spam. He's just bad mad and butthurt, Im glad he's dead.

... The mobs that killed the mage spawn RIGHT after killing this boss, he didn't pull shit. He did what everyone who have played this game does and goes up there to group+kill them before they get too spread to aoe down and start running after the healer or some shit. The priest should've already been up there holy novaing, or at the very least shielded the mage, which he had about 10 seconds to do which should be a manageable time to react. :)

Pro tip. Don't tell the healer to heal you. The guy at 1:10 was being healed and still acted like he wasn't because he was taking so much damage. Healers aren't stupid. They see the frames, but they have this resource called mana that is not infinite. It's possible the healer wasn't using an efficient rotation for mana, but it looked like he didn't have much of a choice with how much damage the tank was taking.

9:10 - Entering the boiling elemental lake as a mage is not a good idea. They are immune to most mage spells. Frost completely and fire mostly. Use a fire ward and use arcane attacks, but your best bet is to not go in the lake. Frost nova, Cone of Cold, etc will have no effect. Just farm the sacred fire herbs from the 2 outter parts of the lake. No need to go in there. Easy to get trapped. I almost died on my druid in that place, had to pop sea lion form and bail. Just wait for the herbs outside of the water. That guy is lucky to be alive.
