If stuff isn’t vaulted or exclusive to a Con, rereleases are ok. It sucks for people who paid crazy money for these Pops on the secondary market 😣 but Funko isn’t necessarily doing anything wrong here. Happy holidays!! 🎄✨

For me I think rereleases for commons are fine considering they weren’t expensive to begin with. Once you start dipping into the con exclusives I think they shouldn’t do it or you make a limited rerelease. For me I think Funko just knows people will buy them no matter what so they’re going to make it to make the extra money

New Years Mortem is kickass !! love the coloring. Some people are still buying the Funko Pops at my local Target as I always check the isle to see how quickly they sell. I think a re-release is ok for any collectable . Take a look at other companies, perfect example is Mattel with Hot Wheels or Matchbox, Neca and Super7. A second release is always a different year packaging or a re-color and yes it does hurt the original releases value a bit . Second releases are still worth something and sometimes are even better than original depending on the collectable. You can even throw in sports cards with a specific player , rookie cards are always worth more and following years go down or worth next to nothing. Then you have to ask yourself ... are you a collector that collects for value ? or a collector that collects because you like that genre or toy or what ever it is that you're collecting . Or even one of those scalper people that just buy to sell ? your collection could even be state spoons 🤣🤣🤣 Either way I collect and I guess hope that there's some value over the years so I can pass it all down to my kids or grand children and they deal with my crazy collections.
