OMG I can smell it already. All I need is salted butter and a bowl of tripe and onions. Finished the Gur cake this afternoon, your recipe is spot on. Thanks again Chris. John 73 year young trainee chef 😊

Thanks. Excellent tutorial. I hope I can do half as good as you when I try to bake. I remember Turnovers being left on the house windowsill by whoever delivered the bread in Rathmines in the '60s. Used to enjoy picking at the beautiful bread before it was taken in!

My husband and I are Americans. Both of our grandpa's were Irish Americans (plus many others). Every year on St. on Patrick's Day I make a big Irish meal in memory of them all. This year I want to do something different. I'm making corned beef stew. I will watch your videos for more ideas like this delicious looking bread. Thanks❤ 🍀

Problem is medical. Diet is incredibly restricted. Most self baked items are ok but yeast appears to be one culprit in causing flares. I can have some yeast but just wondering what way to proceed without it? There is one turnover which I buy that works well but it does have yeast.

@irishbakerabroad
@irishbakerabroad 2 жыл бұрын
It could just be the flour your using. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. If it tastes good that’s what’s important! In relation to the rising of the loaf. Maybe it wasn’t kneaded enough Declan or could it be the shaping. Send me a few pics or video clips on the Facebook page next time if ya can pal 😉👍🏻
