I make liver and onions on the same basis, I just don’t cook mine as long, but if I ever make them again I will. I live alone with arthritis and can’t cook much anymore. But girl you got this dish for sure,I love to watch you in the kitchen. God bless you.

Love liver and onions and bacon! That much liver, stop after browning nicely on both sides. 5 large onions, sliced and sautéed. And at least 1 pound of bacon. Better with 2. With mashed potatoes. I’m going to have to try what you did in this video. Including the milk over night soak. Thanks for all the fun !

Dear Friend, my sister (my best friend) and I loved liver and onions. We used to go to a restaurant in our town, every Thursday and have it, it was fabulous! My sis was murdered in Nov 1978, she was 28 yrs old and I haven’t been able to eat it since then😢. I really don’t know why but it was something special, she and I did every week ❤. I still like it, just haven’t had it since then Your KeyLime friend 💕🙏🙏

You are the best and my personal very favourite cooking guru! Much love! Have a great rest of the week and weekend! ❤

Ms. Talli, I’m 56 years old now, & I’ve tried everything to try & like liver, & have been unsuccessful thus far. I wanted to love it though, I really did.

Morning Tallie Faye, I love liver if I cook it lol. My mom used to fry it up plain and cook it till it was dry and chalky and put mint jelly on it YUK. I dust it in seasoned flour and fast fry so it's still pink inside and crispy on the outside. I'm really interested in trying it your way, it looks so good. I only eat it about once a year because of the cholesterol but I think it's been more than that now. I get the baby beef liver, I think it has a milder taste. Take care, I hope you have a wonderful day.

I'm the only one that liked liver in my family except for my mom. And none of my friends like it. It seems like every time I mention liver they're like ew 🤢. I have no idea why. I cook beef liver in butter and with onions and it's delicious. I also like chicken livers. Anyway Talli, I was happy to see that you had a recipe for this! 👍❤️

I have a couple questions do you thaw your liver first before you soak it in the heavy whipping cream and then before you cook do you drain the liquid or will the liver soak up the cream? I grew up eating liver and onions cause it was a cheap meal and I’ve always loved it.
@inthekitchenwithtallifaye47244 ай бұрын
If I soak it in milk or cream I just take it straight from that and dredge it in my flour and toss the milk/cream

I love good ole liver and onions. My Mom would fry up some bacon and use the grease to fry them up and then serve the bacon on top. Unfortunately, the liver always triggers a gout attack for me, so I had to stop making it. 🥴

Back, way back in the day, I was 8, and have never forgot....my mother told me on my plate was fried round steak and mashed potatoes. I took a bite of the "steak" and it was liver...then took a big bite of mashed potatoes to kill the taste of the liver...oh my mom told a big one that night...it was mashed turnips. I gagged and left the table. No supper that night. Parents, grandparents loved the stuff.

I love liver. I’m so old that when I was growing up it was thought that liver should be eaten once a week. The big difference now since veal is not eaten much is that calves liver is not available. That was what I really loved. Also, people complain about the cost of food and liver of any kind is very inexpensive. You always look lovely as you are. You always make me feel better. Believe it or not raw flour can make you sick. Look it up and do your own research. What they won’t tell you is that during storage it can be susceptible to insects that may carrry salmonella. I know it’s gross. In fact that’s why eating raw cake and cookie dough is not advised. People think it’s because of raw eggs, but they have improved the safety of eggs. It’s the flour that can carry anything that roaches may carry. Yes pork liver is gross to me, too. If you ever get a chance to buy some Vidalia onions, please do. If they’re the real ones they ooze sugar. They’re flat on top and bottom, not round. Sometimes here in Texas I see what they are calling Vidalia onions, but they’re not. They have to come from a very limited region of Georgia. Most of them are sold to France and never go to market in the United States. They can be eaten like an apple. They make an excellent accompaniment to liver since their sweetness counteracts the bitterness of the liver.

I love liver and onions... if you think the beef liver is too overpowering then use calf liver... plus calf liver is more tender...
