Great to see, a bunch of senior farmers used to operate an old threshing machine in my area. They are almost all gone now. When I was young there were old threshing machines parked in out of the way places around the county. Seeing you operate the older equipment brings back some of the adventures of youth. Thanks!

Dug and loaded my way in distance proably to Auz in a K reg 40 mine had a Rubbery Owen Drott 4in I although a smaller bucket than a std made a versatile machine. In later years we discarded the cab fitted shell fenders and link arms,used a concrete loader block with a T Yoke .We cast the block so that it had a draw hitch and a centre shackle when raised to stop it swinging. We would then hitch a big bale rapper powered through a box Dowty knocked up for us to reduce the hydraulic flow for the wrapper. When finished wrapping we could knock off the wrapper and use the protected squeezer on the front end. We also still had some old low buildings at the time so the extra service was good on a muck fork to tear out. All back in the historic late 80's! Happy Days of hard by today's standards!!

Not many 400/500 combines without a dent in the back end.!! Telegraph poles mostly as I recall....
