All solid and sorted again, great work, once its had its coat of paint and a fresh MOT put on it we'll see it up for sale to finance an Austin Maxi project 😂

@@SimpsonsClassics I know, he's become obsessed hasn't he? 😂 My Dad had one when I was about 7/8, a navy 1970 1.5 model and I remember it being huge and then a Mate's Dad had one when I was 16 and 6 feet tall.....and it was still huge inside lol. They were decent cars but the gearboxes had an issue from what I remember, my dad's kept losing 3rd, dunno if it was a selector or linkage issue but it was common.

Graeme W yeah I have never been up close to one but they do seem like big cars I guess James might get one day and you might see one on the channel aha

@@SimpsonsClassics Tbh Marc externally they're only the same size as a Focus externally but not being loaded with all the airbags, safety equipment, crumple zones etc means there's loads of room in them. If one ends up on the channel I hope it doesn't end up being never meet your heroes for James haha

Yeah I would definitely say they are about that size like you say without all the modern bits in. We will see there is plenty planned for the channel none mini related to

Na jokes aside I don’t think I could do it everyday. I love my hobby and love my cars and wouldn’t want them to be “work”

You make it look really easy Marc but I know it's not. Just cutting out with a disc I panic when I see all those sparks. Have you ever used an air saw?
@SimpsonsClassics

Michael Roberts aha thanks Michael I have admit I found door steps nice jobs to do now. No I have never used one have you ?

@@SimpsonsClassics No never, but When I have seen them used they do seem to produce less sparks and seem a bit easier to control as my hands aren't the most steadiest (old age and poverty) and seem like a better option.
