Very helpful video. Don't the engine and oil have to be hot when draining so it flows well and all impurities are removed ? Also if you had removed the left fog lamp would have been better visibility of filter. Thanks for putting this up.

Yes I obviously forgot to say to warm the engine first. You are totally correct it will flow better and this will help to remove any non-magnetic debris that has somehow found its way in. Magnetic debris should be on the plug.

Does the castrol oil you used have a high zinc content, also when doing my research I phoned castrol classic oils and said I could use 10w 40 castrol magnetec semi synthetic my car is 1998 could I get some clarification on this. Videos are helpful thanks

Castrol website is.more than wrong. Do never use any other viscosity different to 20w50 and Mineral in a manual Mini or you will ruin your gearbox.
