When I needed to do this over a year ago before I removed my engine I couldn't find a video that show exactly how it was done. Your video is perfect 👏🏻👏🏻. The lightning & camera angles are spot on. 👌🏻 thanks for sharing. P.s that looked uncomfortable 😬.

Nice job! Looking forward to see what other oil leaks you can tackle without major engine removal work.

Yeah that engine is not coming out yet, down the line yes but not now

@@DBMiniDIY My '88 1275cc has lots of leaks, including the one you did here. Didn't hear it mentioned but I guess the oil needs to be drained for this job as the seal is at bottom of the sump? Or does it just drip a little there while doing the work? I can see oil beneath my water pump/timing chain cover and potentially around drive shaft/diff connections. top rocker cover looks good with fresh cork gasket. Is there a silicone rubber/reuseable one for that cover?

@@TornadoCAN99 ive been doing the diff seal this weekend, then hopefully thats it, yes I drained the oil, would be too messy otherwise. Ive got the cork gasket for the rocker, nof the prettiest to look at though, yoh can get rubber and silicone for it, sounds like you need a gasket set for a few areas

That’s one of those little, but essential jobs to do on a classic mini.
