@@bikerdood1100 It was lighter and more powerful than a Yamaha RD400 of the same period. Would have been a fun ride. I had a 1979 RD400E and it was a very quick wheelie monster of a bike.

A very interesting episode. 👍 I got to sit on a Birmingham Scott in Pride & Clark's showroom, Brixton, back in 1963. They were a very interesting machine, but I hadn't passed my test, so I was restricted to 250cc and the brand-new Jawa that I was buying there served me very well.

The Suzuki 4-cylinder 2 valve models weren't far behind the CX500 as courier favourites. Hand muffs, homemade screen and plastic throwover panners for the complete look.
