@THE BEARDMAN you are very correct, there were no T/As left except the promo car & I got to see some of the filming the summer of '76 around my hometown area as I was living near Jonesboro Georgia not far from where Snowmans house was {no longer there} & the next year we moved a few miles down the road to Covington & I got to be in the first episode of the Dukes of Hazzard 1978 as the General Lee slides on to the square {KZbin video Dukes Of Hazzard : Chase From 1st Episode} & I was on the other side of the square when Burt Reynolds landed his plane to get beer in Cannonball Run 1981 {KZbin video Cannonball Plane}! In 1990 I had a 1978 Ttop Z28 that was suppose to be in an episode of In The Heat Of The Night but I reckon it was left on the cutting room floor as I have seen every episode but never seen my car but I got paid for it & had lunch with Bubba, Tibbs, Gillespie & the rest of the cast, great times growing up there but havent lived there since 1998!

@THE BEARDMAN he sold it before we moved out. If I remember correctly he bought an 81 Camaro and did it up like K.I.T. Yeah I know that was also supposed to be a TA but it was another cool car. Tubbed wheels and a crazy 400 small block

Its funny,,,,the ear/brain thing happens and lately it's been Sammy Hagar (fan since Montrose). Trans Am just spins. Not much a fan of the movies. Car was great ! Next, The General Lee. I had a '69 Charger i bought for $750 in '77 (383 Magnum, 727, SureGrip). Sure, some rust and leaks but i loved it. It got hit and totalled while parked in '80. I was offered $1065 which i accepted. Even called my Wife about buying it back and fixing it,,, "Let it go", DS rear qtr, maybe a bent axel....I'd already raised hell in this. Family saw it go down the freeway on a flat bed truck. My first thought, 'it's gonna be a Dukes jumper' The rest, some cool stuff i remembered, some i didn't. Nice work !!

In the fast n the furious movie when they pair off to race the supra and the charger that scene of the movie is filmed in Long Beach CA around the piers to the right is NYK /OOCL I used to pull sea containers out of all those piers and drove that same spot in the road/street 5 times a week from Long Beach to Phx AZ.. That stretch of road is a good place to drag if you didn't have to deal with the Trucks hauling containers😜. I'm now since retired from driving with over 25yrs in doing so been thru 43 states never made it to Canada or Mexico but sent trailers south to be loaded. Thanks for the posting brings back movies among other past events 👍👍👍😎✌👋
