Definitely gonna follow this build! I've got my mind set on either a 46 Pontiac Streamliner or 47 Chevy Fleetline for a future "lowrider" build. Can't wait to see how this turns out

Older video ,, but that rear suspension looks pretty slick. Did you install yet? How long are those rear arms/links? How does it ride?

I have a few questions for you? Are you planning to lay frame? If so are you going to have to cut up the floor pans? Also is that the adjustable Jaminez rear end? If so, I would like you to show how you put it in. I just bought this kit for my 47 wagon. I cannot cut my floor pans as they are part of my interior in the wagons. I have to weld up my rear components parallel to the floor. I believe this will allow me to be about 1-1.5” off of the ground with my frame. Trying to figure this out - my frame is totally stripped, body off. Sounds like I should through a block in the frame to figure out the angle so I can figure out my break end angle. Thanks for any help,
@ClassicNation3 жыл бұрын
Mine is just the 2 link rear, I don't think it's the adjustable type. My floors aren't great, so I'll likely be needing to do some floor work anyway. Yes, my plan it to try to get it to lay frame. I haven't yet pulled the body off the chassis yet, but when I do, I'll be documenting the entire process, so make sure to subscribe if you haven't already. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

I just bought a reproduction one and having issues with mine. would you be willing to do a video on how to put that thing together? seems as if holes dont line up. very nice fleetline by the way -- mines a 48 :)

Hey Jon, what part are you referring to? I'd be happy to help as best as I can!

@@ClassicNation I'm sorry! I meant the reproduction visor. I have the same one and was curious on how you got yours set up. It seems as if the holes on mine for the screws are off. I never put one together before so wasnt sure if im just dumb haha

I'd be happy to help! I got the rear kit from Jimenez Bros in South Cal. Definitely check them out. I'll have some more videos on this car soon, as I'm getting ready to pull the body off the frame. Let me know what other questions you have! Thanks for the support!

If your going with 400-600 hp would you recommend this rear set up over a four link?
@ClassicNation4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, with that much power, I think you'll be better off with a 4 link.

What is the brand of the visor and do you have a link. Also what was that cost. I have a 48 german helmet

Its an off brand Fulton replica. I bought it here: www.ebay.com/itm/1937-1948-CHEVROLET-FULTON-EXTERIOR-SUN-VISOR-NEW-SPLIT-WINDSHIELD-CHEVY/254864832455

@@ClassicNation Thank you for the reply. How was it to install ? Difficult?
@ClassicNation3 жыл бұрын
@@jeredanderson7911 Its really just mocked up there right now, but the install is really straight forward. Also my fleetline has shaved drip rails, and this visor mounts really cleanly into the door jamb for a nice clean look. You'll have no prob.
