I guess the Job with the league pays better/easier on the schedule than Coaching because I thought Colin Campbell did a pretty good job as Ranger Coach replacing Keenan when he bolted after 94 for St Louis. This Ranger team struggled in the strike shortened season but this was a pretty major upset of Quebec. The next season the Rangers were in first place a lot of 95-96 and again make it to the 2nd round of playoffs. 96-97 he takes the Rangers to the ECF with a very old Messeir & Gretzky now & a ton of injuries on that squad. Point is after getting fired mid way through 97-98 I'm still shocked Campbell never got another look as Head Coach unless like I mentioned above it just wasn't for him & he didn't want to get back behind the bench.

I know, and same with Neil Smith never getting another GM job after being the man who built the roster that got the Rangers their elusive Stanley Cup in 94, even if it did dearly cost them down the road as time went on. That not counting his very brief cup of coffee with the Islanders in 2006, when they fired him over him not adhering to their organizational structure.

Wow this is basically what a Rangers-Avalanche Stanley Cup finals would have looked like

Not quite, since the Avs got Patrick Roy, who would have never been dealt to the Nordiques under any circumstances though.

Wendall Clark got away with a old school elbow to Kovalev's head, he got up too quick and learned after this to really sell the injury when going down which came back into play in the infamous Game 4 incident. I love watching the old school games in the playoffs because usually you could get away with anything & back then there was only 1 ref. Seeing the Clark's & the Messeir's getting away with all the elbows & slashes & high sticks.

7:04 I seriously need to figure out which music library CBC got their stock music from during this time period. The bumper music they used in the 90s will never be topped.

The beginning of the end of the Nords time in Quebec happening in this game. Even though I'm a Rangers fan, it was sad to see their sad demise occur shortly after, who never should have lost their team. Hope they'll be back one day, even if moving to Colorado did end up working out pretty well for the franchise itself though. How come the sound goes out of sync on this in the end too though?

It's almost like Kelly Hrudey found his post-career job that year.

Going to Quebec I heard was pretty dangerous to root against the Nordiques! Some said their fans were even worse than Rangers Philly, and Canadians fans when it came to that too! (L.O.L.!)
