💈 Classic Relaxing Hot Towel Shave with Face Massage at Son & Dad Barbershop | Penang Malaysia

Son & Dad was the second barbershop we filmed at in Penang, Malaysia. In this video barber Elyas provides a relaxing hot towel shave with face massage, and styes my hair at the end.
Elyas and his dad Mr. Yunoos have two shops on the same street just a couple doors away from each other.
They began with one shop, and then expanded into a second larger shop to bring classic old school haircuts to Penang. We saw the shops a couple times while walking around George Town and they were always busy!

I don't normally comment on videos but i visited Penang in 2017 and by some miracle I found Son & Dad whilst wandering the streets. Hands down one of the best haircut experiences I've had worldwide and one I still talk about regularly. I'm almost considering flying back to Malaysia just for a haircut with these dons.

Great video. It’s totally not what I was expecting from a Malaysian barbershop. The barber and shop seemed to have a very “western” aesthetic, in-line with the likes of Sweeny. The younger barbers seem to be taking the influence of the older generation, but have found a way of incorporating more luxuries and modern sensibilities into what they do

I had a shave at this shop after seeing this video when I was in Penang. Definitely book. They actually have two shops and about 6 or 7 barbers on who were all flat out whenever we went past. Also they are closed on Mondays. Shave takes about an hour and is one of the best shaves I’ve had.

I dont know how i got here. But watching this under the shower while i brush my teeth and do my shaving routine, makes me want to change something. This was very relaxing to watch. The polite Barber did a very good job. Barbershops like this are rare in Germany, some hair stylists offer a shave. In the shops i know, never had this relaxing silence.
