I heard that, off the back of "Bohemian Rhapsody" being a success, there was plans to do a biopic movie about Fleetwood Mac, with Bradley Cooper tapped to play Lindsey Buckingham. However, the pandemic put it on the backburner and it was never picked up. I think a movie wouldn't have the time to do it justice and a whole series needs to be made about the tensions.

@dhenderson1810 I also think there would be some very busy lawyers! I think there's a lot of things some of the band members wouldn't want to be played out in a film. Abuse, abortions, affairs with other people's partners and crew members, huge drink and drug problems, Buckingham's departure alone was a hush money pay off. That Daisy Jones and The Six series was it? might be the nearest we get to it.

@nucleargrizzly1776 Green was the most unstable. You need to read about him. Going into their manager's office with a gun telling him to give their royalties to charity tops anything the others ever did! Green, Kirwan and Spencer were the most unstable by far.

Over the years since Steve Perry left, Journey's internal conflicts have only gotten worse with the battle between Steve Smith and Ross Vallory trying to take over the band, and now the conflict between Neal Schon and Jonathon Cain over the use of some of the songs and Jon's accusations of Neal taking money from an account.

Seriously: Alvin and the Fucking Chipmunks are more of an actual band than Motley Crue. Glam-hair metal was a novelty at best. Quiet Riot and Poison get more air play on nostalgia stations for good reason. The Monkees were more "real".

The Police didnt hate each other..the members have dispelled that myth a hundred times over,they just drifted apart due to musical directions they each wanted to take and it couldnt happen in The Police.

Saw Stuart on his recent tour. He said, as has been said many times before, that he and Sting love each other like brothers...until they get into a studio. Then all hell breaks loose. Just polar opposite musical opinions, but it worked somehow and produced some great music. Not sure why this myth continues either. Oh well. Can't get in the way of a good story.

A great many egos tangle on and off stage ....... The one I feel you stuck in there for the fussing they had during the years as a super Group - though really had respect for each other as musicians = The Police ! They were excellent talents and made a Jazz/rock/pop fusion band s never before. An American drummer, Copeland, two Brits = Any Summers on Guitar & Sting on Bass and lead vocals ..... each annoyed by the habits, statements or other at times KNEW EACH WAS AN ASSET TO THE OTHERS AND PLAYED AS A TIGHT UNIT VIRTUALLY FLAWLESSLY ! To this day I have heard an interview where one spoke ill of the others.

How can you have this list without Ray and Dave Davies. If you think the Oasis boys hated each other? Try looking at the Davies brothers. They did not speak for nearly 30 years and even at family get togethers, they had to be in different rooms and refused to acknowledge each other were there

Of all bands listed here. The police is my favorite. Broke my heart when they split. But sting has some nice solo songs. Still I miss them. I often wonder what their sound,what direction it would have gone in if they stayed together through the 90s and today.

Just finished reading America the band and Dan Peeks ( RIP ) own separate book , Dan's almost instant disdane for Gerry Beckley is obvious in his book , not many a chapter goes by without a comment about Gerry's ego , his pretty face or Gerry's assumption that he was in charge ! which amounted to in band turmoil . In the authorized book by Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell there's no mention of this but that Dan had personal issues and left the band in 1977 !

What about Kiss? Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have been blasting Ace and Peter for years, they've had to cut Eric Carr off of his rights to play in Kiss as he was dying of cancer, and didn't even invite Ace and Peter to play onstage with them during their hall of fame induction? To be fair, if you had to put up with so much drama and negativity within your life, especially from Peter Criss, you would have a pretty hard time, too.

In my opinion, Kiss would have to be on top. Paul Stanley still doesn't speak to Peter Criss to this day, even though he's pushing 80 and is retired, and still can't stand him. Gene Simmons and Ace have also gotten into a lot of entanglements, due to Ace always being lazy and Gene not liking that about him. But at least Gene and Paul are willing to give him another chance. In Paul's own book backstage pass, he writes, "Peter unfortunately, is a different story. I don't believe that Peter has any life. He always seems consumed by some reality that his wife tells him and that has caused him to see everyone from the roadies to the hotel staff as being disrespectful. I believe that Peter's life is very one-dimensional, very unstimulating and very uninteresting. That's not a world in which anyone should live in, and I don't want that in my life."

Sting was arrogant in his diaper, justifiably so. It's just not fun to live with for other great musicians with egos of their own. They could get on with the music and each respected the other two, but they didn't want to go on as a group.

Sting and Stewart Copeland disliked each other with Andy Summer stuck in the middle . I've read Stings book , Sting broke the band up and then the financial wrangling started !
