I first played this game in 82 at a bar in the country, and around 1988, a miniature golf course had this game and I played it nearly every day, and one time I played it I beat the high score to date, and had a score around 967,000 (almost turned it over) Loved the sound effects and the background sound on this game.

Probably already mentioned, but FWIW, I think CCCP is the Russia spelling of USSR. Thanks for the great video.

Meteor is one of the few SS pins that actually treats bumpers with respect. The pop bumper acts as an obstacle and an aid at the same time. A shame that most machines, especially current ones, shove the pop bumpers into a corner with one or two controlled outlets that don't allow the ball freedom to come at you at different angles, it's like why have them in at all if they are just an afterthought at best and too often you can't even see most of the bumpers, they get hidden (as well as lanes that are behind the bumpers).

Love this game. Great geometry and so fun to shoot. I restored one myself, and it's definitely staying in my collection. These are even more fun now if you add an Arduino using the Bally Stern OS programming to add new rules, sound, and even handles roll over scores without a 7 digit display.

One of the 1st pinball machines were made as based from a motion picture, also along with harry williams the founder of williams electronics back in the days also help boost up this machine and a few other stern pinball from the late 70's and the early 80's. From the Documentary of TILT The battle to save pinball 2000 tells the stage of History of Pinballin.

I used to smash this pinball machine back in 1979 when it was released. I was in 5th grade back then. Whenever I had the spinner 🔥 lit, I always aimed for the spinners to increase my score! Next, I’ll aim for the targets and build up my bonus! Another great game was ALI! I am the greatest!!! 😂

Big Mike I'd love to have an ALI I've never seen one around though! I'd bet they're getting pretty collectible, since Ali was pretty much THE GREATEST lol
