feels refreshing to see cheaper boards that have higher end features and accessories

Custom mechs becoming mainstream has been so nice, I love to see all these affordable entry level kits from well known brands, and then still having *incredible* luxury options.

This is very similar to the lightbar on the 80HE, very cool to see that in the mechanical space than just in the HE space!
@ImOnMy116Ай бұрын
Gotta love the price point! Not sure how I’d feel about that mounting point under the spacebar, but I obviously don’t have the board, so it’s pure speculation. Would love to see them offer polypropylene as a plate option down the road, but commend them for designing / offering what seems like a super solid TKL!

such a nice keyboard for the price, good products at this level rarely get this good nowadays

This build could easily near $200 if you get decent switches, keycaps, and stabilizers. Nowadays, you can buy fully built gasket-mounted aluminum keyboards for around $100. The ND75 or Rainy 75 for example, which sound pretty good out of the box too! Good overview though, it's nice to see what's new coming to the market
@TaehaTypesАй бұрын
Both are 75's though (have tried the Rainy which I agree sounded great out of the box but unfortunately haven't tried the ND75). I do think that products like the Rainy75 should not be considered the norm however (as much as I would love for it to be) they have much closer and better access to manufacturing/QA being based in China and can afford to provide such a product at a lower cost. There arent many TKL kits in this price point though, but I am happy to be proven wrong!
@riceshakesАй бұрын
@@TaehaTypes The GMK87 has been out for a while but that is also plastic. Personally though, if I was in the market for an entry level TKL I'd go buy something like a Monsgeek M3 or M3W which is an alu tkl at around the same price point currently
@l3linkTreel3ensterАй бұрын
They all sound exactly the same though and lack character. They’re all mass produced from the same factory in china , couldn’t be more boring
@riceshakesАй бұрын
@@l3linkTreel3enster I agree, but that's all subjective. Objectively, the chinese boards are aluminum, TKL form factor, at a similar price point. Also nothing wrong with chinese factories. Most of the higher end boards are coming out of DDS which is based in China
